Me again!

My lower back is so stiff and sore after this hysterectomy I had.  I'm in a lot of pain.  Anyone with experience with hysterectomies and stretching out the lower back would be so appreciated.  I don't know what I can and can't do.  I don't want to do a stretch and hurt myself!  I have bi-lateral sacroillitis in my lower back.  It's aggrivated by my fibro.  Horrible combination.

Thanks in advance,
Ginny

I would suggest that you call your doctor and ask them.  We do not know what you can do and you coud hurt yourself taking our suggestions.  Play it safe and make a phone call.

I have had lower back pain for  years so I know how uncoomfortable it can be.  I do hope you start feeling better soon.

Ginny, I'm sorry you are having such a rough time after the hysterectomy. I had one 5 yrs ago, and I had a very rough recovery. My ob-gyn thought everything was great, what's the problem? I used to use weights to help strengthen my arms, after the surgery I tried that while I was sitting down. I got so nauseous, I almost passed out. Everybody has diffferent reactions, I would also suggest you talk to your dr., hopefully you have one that understands re: FMS. I didn't know I had FMS when I had the surgery. I have very little strength in my arms/hands, but I use 2lb weights a couple of times a week. My left hand still shakes while I'm lifting, but I'm pigheaded er, stubborn, I keep trying. Check w/ the dr., you don't want to have more problems on top of what you are already enjoying. shakehead

I also have back issues, have since I was a teen. I wish you a speedy recovery, my friend.

God bless.  Alice.
