We are going to San Francisco on Saturday for our anniversary.  Last night I told him I was afraid because I might not be able to walk so much and friends are going with us.  I didn't want to draw attention to myself.  We all went to Italy together and I had so much pain walking.  I don't want people to feel sorry for me or think I am asking for attention.  So he said we can have a secret signal and he will say he wants to sit down and look at stuff.  What a nice guy!

He is a great guy. WE had company last night which I did not feel like having. Everything hurt. The dog was scratching at the door to come in I was closer but did not want to move I looked at my hubby and thought but did not say please get the dog, The next thing I know he was letting the dog in.

My husband and I spent our 25th anniversary in San Francisco, too.  We had dinner at the Carnelian Room that is on the top floor of the highest building in San Francisco.  What a view and what great memories.  Have a wonderful anniversary!

Happy anniversary Sue. My hubby is my protector too when we are with a group of people and if he knows something is going to be too much for me he will suggest an alternative. We are sooo lucky to have these men. Do you have the looks that each other understand???

luv and hugs

aaaaw, that is so sweet! Isn't it wonderful to have a protector on your side? Happy anniversary, I hoep you have a wonderful time. Dh went to San Francisco for meetings one year, he said the views were spectacular. In a few years I hope to be able to go with him on these trips, but they always go to Vegas now. Not really my cup of tea.
Waiting for appointment with rheumy (March 2009) to get an official dx. waiting, waiting, waiting....
Taking malic acid/magnesium combo, what a life saver! and amitriptyline

Thanks everyone. San Francisco is beautiful. We like to go to a beach which requires driving around a small mountain with a view of the golden gate bridge. Sherrine, is the Carnelian room at the top of the Bank of America Building? I worked in San Francisco years ago and at the time, the B of A building was the tallest. Are we neighbors?

Yes, my hubby is pretty awesome, sounds like yours are too.
Best,
Sue

Sue, we lived in Ohio at the time and we flew out to San Francisco for our anniversary.  My husband had been there before on speaking engagements but I had never seen it.  We stayed at one of the Marriot Hotels and were on the 20th floor in a corner room.  We looked out one window and saw the Bay Bridge and the other window we could see Alcatraz.  It was gorgeous.

I can't tell you which building the restaurant is in but we were practically on top of the TransAmerica Pyramid building and could see the Golden Gate Bridge from our seat in the restaurant.  It was quite an anniversary!

I'm still not a neighbor.  I live in Florida and am now a widow but I do have that fantastic memory!
