i've been looking for the malic acid/magnesium combination since reading about it here.  i was able to find magnesium, but not malic acid until i went to GNC.  when i asked about it, they directed me to a product called Fibro-M by Organika.  it contains:

60 mg elemental magnesium (from 350mg magnesium citrate)
350 mg malic acid
50 mg siberian ginseng extract
50 mg bromelain

the directions are to take 1 tablet per day or as directed by health care professional.

i started it yesterday, so i'll let you know how i make out with it.

fibromyalgia ~ cymbalta 60 mg, flexeril 10 mg, advil/tylenol
hypothyroidism ~ synthroid 112 mcg
gerd ~ nexium 40 mg
peri-menopause ~ yasmin 28

Welcome to HW. You can find malic acid at Puritan.com for a reasonable price. You should get your dosage up to 2400 to 3200 mg per day in small steps for best results. Those other ingredients are nice (ginseng & bromelain) but not necessary for pain relief and energy production in the mitochondria of your cells. Malic Acid should be taken with food. It does cause diarrhea as a side effect but my body has adjusted. I've taken it for over 4 years and have had excellent results with it.

I haven't bought any yet, but I plugged magnesium/malic acid supplement into the search engine and some stuff came up that said it was for fibro... I WILL order it, not sure why I haven't yet!
