Hi everyone!
Hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving. Mine was kind of ruined when I woke up Wednesday morning feeling like a truck had run over me during the night! I was suppose to go down to visit my mom and sisters, but there was no way I could drive 5 hrs. let alone sit in a car and ride that long.
I haven't had too much pain in my neck and shoulders in a while, but it is back along with pain in my legs, back, & hands. I have pretty well just gone back and forth from bed to chair in the last 3 days. Nothing I did helped, but last night I started feeling a bit better.
Now, I am trying to get my cleaning & laundry done so I can put the Christmas tree up later. We have always put the tree up on the day after Thanksgiving. I find I can't stay with one thing too long. It's like I am lost and don't know what I am doing? I don't stay with one thing too long before I go to a different thing. Most of the time, I end up back in my smoking room to just sit.
I am not getting a thing done & it is driving me crazy! The way I am going, by the time my dh gets home from work, I should have nothing done! Thanks for listening! I guess I just needed someone to complain to besides my dogs!
Hugs!!    Margie

Hi Margie,

Let's not be so hard on yourself. You are doing the best that you can. It isn't the end of the world if you don't get everything done in a day. Maybe your tree will be a day or two late. Just relax and give yourself a break. The more that you stress the worse your pain will be.

I think that we all get so much on our minds during the holidays. So don't beat yourself up over that. I think that it is normal. The holidays can be very stressful.

With that being said, I hope that you can relax. Have a smoke if you need to. Sit in that room for a few minutes and relax. It will all get done in time. Just don't blame yourself for everything.

You are a wonderful person, fighting a nasty syndrome. The easier that you are on yourself, the easier it will all become.

Have a wonderful day, pace yourself.

Hugs, Karen

You know, we overdo so much this time of year.  I usually put up my tree the day after Thanksgiving but that's not going to happen today!  I'm still pooped from yesterday and I'll be gone tomorrow so I will try to get it up Sunday.  You know, as long as it's up before Christmas, that will be fine!  Don't push yourself too much.  It will be there tomorrow.

Margie I'm sorry you didn't get to go home for Thanksgiving. My tree will get put up some time between now and the 20th of Dec. I have let go of all the shoulds and gotta get done on a certain day in my life. Today I'm beat from everything and I got the dishwasher going again and I don't care if anything else gets done today or not. If anyone doesn't like it let them do it themselves. Actually I would love it if they did.
Do what you can and the rest will be there when your feeling better which I hope is soon.
One of my sons said to me yesterday that I had laundry that needed to be done cause he needed to wash a shirt, I said yes I know I do but I didn't get everything done. The old me would have emptied the dryer and put the clothes in the washer in the dryer so he could use them but the new fibro mom didn't do anything about it. If he wanted to use them bad enough he could have finished what I started himself.
luv and hugs
