 Hi Everyone,

I am not sure if this is normal so I thought I would run it by you.... I was switched from Cymbalta to Lyrica last Tuesday and today I am so dizzy that I can't function. I have been a little dizzy for the last few days, but it was something I can tolerate. I know dizzyness is one of the side effects, but have any of you experienced this and will it go away? Ugh! I am getting really down because I am not able to be active for the last 3 weeks because of this flare and this medicine makes me feel like I am drugged. I am taking 325mg per day. Thanks!
Gentle Hugs,
Sheri

I also wanted to add that I am sooooo thirsty! I am already a big water drinker (6-8) glasses of water a day, but it is not enough!! Has anyone experienced this with Lyrica? He also started me on Mirepex. Thanks!

I felt this way on Lyrica as well, and then I cut it back to 75 mg/day...then increased to 150....then to 225....then to 300. I cut back from 300 to 225 and now I feel good. It really helps the pain, especially the headaches I was getting. I still get breakthrough pain and take Tramacet for that, but Lyrica helped me a lot. Hang in there!
I have Fibromyalgia, but nothing else!

I take Lyrica 150mg b.i.d.
Tramacet 75 mg for breakthrough pain

Tried amitryptelene 2.5 mg but it made me a zombie!

So do you think it if I just give it some time, that I will get used to it and the dizzyness will go away? I can handl being thirsty, but the dizyness is bad. I have blocked a couple weeks out so I don't have to worry about driving and  am ordering alot of presents via fingertip. Thanks again!

Yes, in time the dizziness will go away. My doctor told me to give it a month even though it is much better after the first week. I have been taking lyrica for over a year. I hope it works for you.

Donnael..thanks for your response. I think I just needed to know it will go away. I do believe it is helping the pain, so I am willing to stay on it and ride out the dizzyness. Hope all is well with you.
