I'm going through what I've learned is called a "flare". I've also learned another new term called "fibro fog" which usually isn't much worse than my normal spazziness. haha However, this past weekend I really learned what it was like. I went to a party with a bunch of my friends and they were all drinking... I only poured myself a VERY weak drink because I've learned that alcohol makes me hurt so bad the next day. So it makes me feel like I'm fitting in, but no one knows I put a teaspoon of vodka in my big glass of orange juice. hehe So I go outside and begin talking to this group of guys I've just met about music. My absolute favorite topic! We talk about how it all started, and the bands that changed our lives. I was trying to tell them about a record company that was based near my hometown and their artists started a music obsession that lasted for years later.... BUT I couldn't remember "record label".. I went through place that holds musicians... place that puts out cds... people who like music?... no... still not it?.... I finally somehow just found another way to say what I needed to say without using anything to do with "record label". I walked away laughing knowing they probably just thought I'd had a little too much to drink (hehe) and knowing I would post on here and say "I know what fibro fog feels like now!!!!". Of all the things to forget?!!

LOL!!! I have had that happen.....ALOT!!!! At least you had a good cover it being at a party and all. It's really funny when you do it at work and your boss finishs your sentence... I have had that one happen alot too. But my boss is a wonderful lady and she knows all about what is wrong with me and she laughs about it with me.

I hate that when I forget a name or word. My family is use to it and it's like playing charades to figure out what I'm trying to say.
luv and hugs

You guys all know I told the story about forgetting I was going down the hall to the bathroom. I could not remember why I was in the hall. turned around went sat on couch then it hit me how bad I had to tinkle. Love the fog.. It gives you something to laugh at later.

LittleMissSunshine, it's good that you can laugh about it. We do need a sense of humour to deal with this!

My daughter who is moving back home with her husband and liddle kiddle has one HUGE reservation about living with us... She has lived away for three years and doesn't know my current form of brain damaged communication. She used to be able to figure out what I was trying to say from the context but now she will need to learn all over!

When I can't remember, I pull on one ear lobe and say, "Sounds like..." and then start laughing!  It puts others at ease and we figure out, together, what I'm trying to say!
