So it's been 4 weeks since my surgery and I can't tell you guys how incredible I'm feeling.  This is a miracle.  I'm still having issues with my Fibromyalgia, but I feel so good in every other way, that I'm just telling the Fibro, " Get lost. You can't ruin my good mood!"

I'm noticing changes in my skin.  I have skin like a baby's bum!  My fingernails are stronger and grow like weeds.  I've lost 8 -10 pounds and it's staying off.  My blood pressure is normal!  This is a big one.  I was running a bp of 140/100.  The 3rd day I was in the hospital it went down to 127/72.  I had it checked at my doctor's today and it's still normal.  120/80.  And that's in the doctor's office! I have no brain fog. My head is as clear as can be.  I can type twice as fast with half the mistakes.  My anxiety and depression is almost non-existant.  My blood coagulation is very steady.  It used to be a roller coaster tryiing to keep my INR at a steady number. It's hardly budged in 2 weeks. Oh!!!  I actually have a sex drive!  Holy smokes, my hubby is in total shock over this.  So am I! This is HUGE.

I'm in awe.  I really can't wait to see how I am in another month, six months!  I haven't felt like this in years.  Probably since junior highschool.  At least 20 years!  That uterus was not helping me one bit.  My lupus is nice and quiet and my family doc wants me to try tapering down on the pred.  I haven't been able to do that for a long time.  Just can't get over how great I feel!

I wanted to send out encouraging news and if anyone is considering a hysterectomy, email me!!!

I hope everyone has a great evening! yeah

Hi Ginny,

I am so happy that you are feeling so good. I hope that this continues for you for the rest of your life. I remember when I got a tubligation. I had the same results. I did have pid. But after that was gone, it was marvelous. That was about 20 years ago though, the fibro got in the way. Maybe I will have a hysterectomy and feel better. Just kidding. Though years ago the doctor said that I would eventually have to have one. But so far I haven't. I have a physical tomorrow, we will see what happens.

Best wishes to you...

Hugs, Karen

Ginny, this is great newsl I am very happy for you that you are doing so much better. I remember when I was where you are, I was feeling the same. I don't want to burst your bubble, I'm just going to say that if, now and again, you have a slightly less yummy day, remember its just one day and your healing is not stopping. This wonderful healing of yours is real. Stay with it, let weird days slide, and continue to believe in your inherent ability to heal yourself. I'm proud of you and your positive attitude!!

Hey thanks everyone!  Yeah, I had a bit of a down day on Wednesday.  Then I was feeling good again. I was told around the one month mark that I might have a few days here and there where I don't feel as well. I guess I'm right on schedule.

Marlee, that isn't a dumb question!  I guess it's like any of the body's organs.  If there is a sick organ that is taken out, the whole body gets better, runs more efficiently, etc.  My surgeon told me that my uterus was sick. Instead of it being a strong, hard muscle, it was squishy, full of glands, puffy and large, and it looked "beat up"!  She wasn't surprised to see it look that way considering how I've been feeling the last 20+ years!  I was having such horrible pain, irregularity and 12 day periods. It was taking over my life, and only getting worse each month. It had to come out.

I feel like I've been on a cleans! Hahaha...
