Good Morning Jeannie,

I was away for a week and havent seen any recent postings from you.  Just want you to know that I have been thinking of you, and wondering how things are going at your end?  I suppose you are very busy with your baking, and all, but how is everything at home?
Are you ok?  Is everyone settling in now?

I really hope you have a minute to update us, you have had quite a year as well with all that has been going on in your life...

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers,
Gentle Hugs

She sure is 'around', uh, round like a donut! Thanks for thinking of me... just have lots going on. The kids are packing in Grand Rapids, house is for sale, we have their dog, they are getting rid of furniture on Craig's list. I have the youth group from church coming tomorrow to help me clean out the space in the basement where everyone will be laying their heads at night. Move may happen next weekend or so... don't really know.

Trying to be mindful that it's Advent, and we are taking in a little homeless family, just like at the first Christmas. Going to get some Christmas baking done, with grandkids helping, no matter what!!! That's what memories are made from... not decorations or presents. Times are crazy but I have my faith to hold on to and just KOKO!

Awww Jeannie I hadn't looked at GD moving in while pregnant as a blessing but it is. He wouldn't move Thanksgiving so I could feel him. I have heard his heartbeat and have lots of sonogram pictures. Thanks, now I feel selfish for thinking what all this will do to me instead of the miracle that is going to happen in a few months.

Marlee,
My Maryclare came home from college to care for her grandmother here in our home when she started hospice. Both she and my son put their lives on hold so they could make their Grandma's last months the best they could be... and the blessings from their sacrifice has continued. The blessings aren't financial, believe me! But the kindness of their hearts from the paths that they chose makes them the best people in the world that I know. And their kindness grew from her kindness to them when they were little children.

That little baby who is coming into your life may be the best thing that ever happened to you! I don't think that my mother-in-law thought that the little girl she watched every day while I worked as a lunch aide would grow up to help make her final hours more comfortable. Maryclare even helped the visiting nurse bathe Grandma's body after she passed to get her ready for the funeral director when he came. You can't buy love like that. You can only grow it and share it. And bless your granddaughter for not choosing to end this bubby's life. That would be the easy way out. She has chosen the better path, and you have helped her choose. (So you get more gold stars in heaven from your kindness!!!) Your kindness will come back to you 100 fold.

Thanks Jeannie. Terminating this baby was never even discussed in this family. All precautions failed so he was meant to be. tongue

Our children joke all the time about us being nice to them cause they are the ones that will be picking our nursing home. I say the one that treats us the best gets everything we have when we are gone so they better be nice to us too. devil I don't think we have anything to worry about at the end.

All of this talk about babies is making me mushy. I will be seeing my grandson on the 20th. He will be a year old on the 17th. I am so excited, but still haven't done my Christmas shopping. So stress, stress, stress. But I can handle it. Slow but sure.

I wish you all the most wonderful day today. Painfree and energetic.

Luv and hugs, Karen...

Thank you for the welcome back! yeah

My son is doing great now, you would never believe he was in such a terrible crash.  He does have scars on his cheek and above one eyebrow, plus the side  of his head that was fractured...but he doesnt walk with much of a limp now, and his memory is almost back to normal!!
I am ok, I just had some problems with a virus on my computer, despite having Norton's 360!!! mad    But I got rid of it manually..actually...there were several.

I must say that I am already sick of snow...we have had SOOOOOO much since mid November.  We had a foot of snow Thurs night, and are getting another storm as I type.

I am so glad that things are settling down for you and your family Jeannie wink

I took that stress test and everything was moving so I had Ken look at it and he didn't see anything moving.

Diane I have 360 on my computer, that's scary.

I'm so glad Michael is almost new again.

Diane, This will be a blessed holiday season with your son on the mend! Certainly puts everything into perspective when you go thru something like that... When you need to get a new computer look into a Mac. I don't even own any anti-virus software or anti-spy ware... Don't even think about it till you all start chatting away about the latest computer bug. Just my 2ยข.

Jeannie, I have another lady that I chat with not far from where I live, and she also got a Mac when she got her new computer. My kids surprised me with this one Mother's Day weekend, so...no Mac for me for a long time now. My friend never has viral problems now that she has a Mac. It just really bothers me that one can get a pricey protection package and find that they are STILL vulnerable...grrrr

Hope you are having a great start to your day :-)
Hugs
