Wow, I have been going to PT for the past week for my ankle..It still hurts just the same though.. but, my therapist made a discovery! shocked

He had me walk back and forth so he could observe, right.. Well, when I got back he goes "Wow, you sure do have some flat feet!"
ME- "I do?"
HIM- "Yes"
ME- "Wow! I never noticed!!"
THEY ALL LAUGH!

So, I never knew it, but Im flat footed! My dad is flat footed and I thought it was interesting, well, I discovered that I am also so, how funny though... I have just never noticed because I dont know what a "normal" foot looks like. Anyways, none of the doctors I have gone to have ever said anything about it.. Which I think is weird. Maybe they assumed that I knew?! But, I've ever had surgery on my heel and still, I never knew! haha tongue

Anyways, I am also going to PT again after school today. Then, tomorrow, I go back to the doctor...I will let you all know how it goes... And then I have PT the rest of the week..yippy!

So, hope everyone is having a wonderful Monday!

Good shoes with arch supports would probably help you.  Might help your ankle, too!  Could also help your back!  I do hope the PT starts to help you, though.

Yea, I usually wear good shoes. I actually have a few pairs of "toe shoes"! Cant remember if I told you all about them, but I listed the website, you should check them out if you havent seen them! I dont think you guys would like to wear them, but I love them! They have good arch support, and they are like walking barefooted, which is good for you. It helps strengthen your feet and leg muscles, it helps your back and posture... They were originally made for water sports and such, but I wear them casually!

Heres the website (just take a look at them!):

Yeesh, Im not feeling so great today. I took a pain pill I was prescribed once for an accident I had, but they are good for pain(obviously)...so I had cramps and took one this morning. I know what happens, I feel good and they make me slighty hyper, but then I almost crash...Its not bad, dont get me wrong...I just feel kinda, "out-of-it"...sleepy, moving around alot, but with energy, and its weird... But, I suppose its better than feeling pain! I have terrible pain so, anything that helps I am up for... (please restrain yourself from telling me to go to the doctor! If I went to the doctor for everything I would need to schedule an all day appointment with a LIST of questions!!)

Anyways, thanks!

Christi, I have never seen shoes like that. tongue

I hope the PT helps. I know what you mean about going to the doc every time you have pain. You just need to learn what is normal and what is something that may need to be looked at.

luv and hugs

Yea, I LOVE my shoes! Mostly because no one else has them! So..

But, anyways, I went to PT yesterday and I had to do new exercises and stuff and use more weight...it hurt alot more.. But, when she measured my range of motion, back and side to side had increased, but down actually decreased... which is bad.. But, I did it and she said go a little further and I tried and it still wasnt enough. Well, I have an appt with my doctor right after school. Im very anxious to hear what he says... PT hasnt been helping, and I hope he doesnt give me a shot, because I have had a couple of them and they have never helped. Of course, the only other option would be a cast... hmm.. I dont know what he will do.. But, we will see... I cant wait, as long it is positive because he has the tendency to tell me something and it makes no difference and I walk out mad, we all have had those experiences though, right!

As long as it doesnt end up like my other foot did...a year of pain and doing everything only to end up having surgery, whcih worked, but still! I prefer to avoid it if possible! So, Im so anxious to know what he will do and whether or not it will help... I will fill you all in later! Take Care and have a great day!
