I told him about how bad I felt, and the weakness when I had forgotten my malic acid. He didn't seem too interested, probably b/c I started off with saying, I'm much better now! lol. Anyway, he is very interested in the results I am having with the supplements.

I checked with him about how much Advil and Tylenol I can take. I knew the answer, but it was more to make him aware that I needed OTC sometimes, even though they don't really work. With the cold, my hands are hurting more than usual, and my bursitis has also decided to pay me a visit. He instead prescribed... gosh, I can't read his writing... I think it's Dicleberac. I'm sure that's not right, but it's a topical cream, I'm excited to see if it will work better. I won't need it everyday, but some days my hands ache something fierce. My feet, I'm getting used to hobbling around after sitting for a few minutes! lol. but at least they only hurt for a few minutes after standing.

I don't understand if my bursitis is part of fibro, or something completely different, or worse b/c of fibro? I'm sure in the end it doesn't matter. But I've had symptoms on and off for over 10 years with my shoulders. He checked them, and I have infringement in the right one for now. He prompted me to go to physio again, if only for them to see what the issues are for my back/shoulders/neck. He admitted only knowing so much about it, so after being assessed, we can figure out where to go after that. He mentioned chiropractics, but I've very nervous about that. I did read an article that said fibromites were more apt to slouch and round their shoulders forward. He has a theory that if I can strengthen those muscles (the top of the shoulder ones), it would help my posture, so help the upper back, neck, and so on. I've made a promise to go in January. I just hate taking the time away from my family, and I have no one to babysit during the day, so I have to do these things on my dh's day off.

I have some stuff to do, but I'll try to be back later and catch up. I see I have quiet a few posts to read! You have been busy :)
Have a super fantastic (or at least pleasant), pain free (or minimal pain) day! (((HUGS)))
Waiting for appointment with rheumy (March 2009) to get an official dx. waiting, waiting, waiting....
Taking malic acid/magnesium combo, what a life saver! and amitriptyline

I didn't have luck with chiropractics.  I think anyone would "slouch" if they were in the pain we are.  It's not like we can't straighten ourselves out!  LOL  When I stopped the chiropractics my back was better.  This is only my experience.

Hi Mamanan-

I have poor posture and when I sit I round my shoulders forward also. It is from pain- I have had arthritis in my neck for years now and it is such a bad habit to break! My Physical Therapist has worked with me on this and I have to really think about it everyday to keep my back straight and my head up.

It is zero degrees here this morning, Brrrrrrrr!  shocked   And the cold affects me awful! It would be nice if we could just stay indoors and hibernate but I know that is not an option. shakehead
