good morning, dr. prescribed cymbalta due to my fibro and chronic back pain. first i took one a month ago, it kept me up all night and feel like zombie during the day. so i stop. Dr. told try again in a lower dose, so i took 30mg yesterday day,i had major diahrea, feels really shaky, feel really wired but drained, sounds like i'm under water when i talk. so my work send me home. didn't feel any aches & pain but felt a lot twitching on my neck, arms and back. has anyone taken cymbalta and actually help, and for how long do you continue takin them?  i have taken a lot pain meds the last two years i was diagnosed with herniated disk lower back and fibromalygia. i tried few anti depressants, zoloft, effexor, and they all made me feel worse inside & out. i thought this medication to make feel better.  i just want to feel good again.  thank you, any input will give me an idea i'm not losing it.

I have been taking Cymbalta for a couple years. I think it helps and have not had any ill effects from it. I take it only in the morning. It does not make me drowzy, in fact it is intended to give you energy. It may be the FM fatigue your are feeling. I cut out or back on my drugs with the exception of Cymbalta....
Good luck and god bless you!

I have been taking Cymbalta for over a month now. I take 60mg in the morning, and it seems to be working okay for me. I mean, it's not helping with the FM, but it helps with my depression, which makes me feel a little better on some days. Good luck. I hope you find a drug that works for you. Maybe you should try some of the natural solutions. They may help.

I just started taking Cymbalta on the 19th 60 mgs and so far so good. I was on Zoloft prior to the 19th. My rhumy told me to just stop taking the zoloft the night before and start Cymalta the next day. I haven't had any problems or symptoms yet.
