Has anyone here ever taken Requip to treat Fibromyalgia or restless leg?

Other people with Fibro that have taken it have reported muscle pain, and I am experiencing the same thing. Since I'm taking another med I was wondering if anyone else was taking Requip right now?

Hello,

Yes, I am on Requip as i do have Restless Legs and it helps me a great deal, I was just into the Dr. monday and had him change my pill from 2mg.for the evening to 1mg. in the afternoon and another 1mg. in the evening so it would hold me all afternoon and throughout the night.

I have avery rough time with RLS and last week-end i was up until 12:30 in the morning walking the floor because m legs were jumping and kicking and twisting not to mention the pain with it. my ankles are so sore because it twist them so bad at times.

Are you just starting RLS or have you had it for awhile i hope that the requip works for you.
Good Luck :-)

I tried the mirapex. Which is similar to requip, but it made me worse. I felt like something was crawling up and down my legs. I wonder if the requip would be better.

If anybody knows, please let me know.

Hugs, Karen

Hi...was wondering if any of you experience RLS symptoms during the day also...used to have it only at night, now they crawl/tug...you name it all the time...or alot of the time.  Doc gave me valium to take at night for it because he said Requip or one of those drugs would interact with the Lexapro I am on...make me a zombie.  I can't stand these sensations and spend so much time 'kicking' them off!

Hello Donna

Yes, my legs have been starting in early in the day as i have stated in my letter before, why  i donot know sometime i think it is do to the time that i spend standing to sitting etc.

I have about had it with the RLS alot of people do not know the pain that comes with this DD, i have tried a heating pad that helps alittle bit if i can catch it early but do not let me get near cold that really causes my legs to get tight and painful.  do you also find that you have problems with the cold on your legs?

I know what you mean by spending alot of time kicking,if anyone is around me at the time they better look out as i cannot help where my leg will end up at the next kick.LOL.
it may sound funny but it really gets bad.  Hope your Doc. helps.

MamaKitty...I have a HORRIBLE time with cold on my legs.  They tighten up and feel like they are packed in dry ice.  Even opening the door for a micro second to let he dogs in...the rush of cold air makes them 'freeze up."  I didn't know people could get these sensations from RLS in the daytime too...most complain about it at night.  I feel like my legs are wrapped in an ace bandage most of the time, like my skin is too tight around the bones.  And I LOVE the crawling bugs sensations.  Last night they were all over the stupid bed...I almost kicked the dog on the floor trying to get comfortable.  Took a valium which finally put me to sleep!
