I tried searching the site, but must be doing something wrong.  Will someone please repost the homemade lotion recipe that we had on here a while back?  We talked about it being a good gift for the holidays.
Thanks,
Sue

Did you use the Google Search bar above or the one in the blue bar? Try both if you haven't. Can you be more specific about what kind of lotion this is...I missed that one.

Chutzie, I tried both and could not find anything. Actually the google one turned out a ton of results and the other one turned out zero results. I think the lotion was made with baby lotion and other things that could be gotten at the dollar store. People were suggesting putting it in jars and giving as gifts.

I don't remember that one either Sue. I make my own lotion using Vaseline Intensive Care lotion and a tube of Creamy Vaseline whipped together and put it in a jar.

Sue, I think it was me that posted that a while back.  You buy the vaseline and baby lotion at the Dollar Store and then they also sell the 2 jars of vitamin E together.   Mix one of the vaseline, one of the baby lotion and one of the vitamin E together with your mixer and put in jars or plastic containers.  It would make a good homemade gift all decorated for Christmas.

God Bless!

I have an other great home made gift idea....a sugar scrub.
you use sugar, olive oil and any essential oil scent you like. you mix in enough olive oil to thoroughly wet the sugar, add the scent, and put it in jars. I found some really cute smaller fancy ball caning jars that look like something a fancy scrub would come in. I also used lemon scent. Lavender works well too.

to use, you use a small amount, and rub it on your hands or feet, and then rinse off with warm water. you will be exloliated ( from the sugar) moisurized ( from the oil) and so soft!!

That is a really nice idea. I have a very strange gift idea that I am going to do tomorrow. You know those cyllinders of flammable gas that you see riding around on the back of trucks. (Gas bottles). I am going to turn the lids into wind chimes. Drill a hole in the top, attach something inside to ding about and something to hang it with and paint a nice word in Chinese (or English) on the outside. What fun!
