I guess it did not snow in your neighborhood this week.

Anyway, I hope you recover soon. Are you supposed to do those things? Words like "basic yard work" sound hazardous. Hmm, maybe I should buy another condo.

Oh, you asked for suggestions. Umm, a hot shower with the water running down you back. Do you have a shower chair? If not, get one they are the best things since sliced bread.
I used to go to physical therapy after doing yard work.

Get better real quick.

I'm sorry that you hurt so badly.  Try the gentle stretching exercises in the Fibro 101 thread.  They can gently work out the knots you got with your yard work.  Also make yourself a "Bed Buddy".  Take a tube sock, fill it 2/3 full with uncooked long grain rice and tie a knot on the end.  You can microwave this and it gives off moist heat that might help you.  As you and I know, we can hurt in nice weather, too!  LOL

Ouch is right! I learned never to do any "sweeping" motion (like vacuuming, which is the worst, but also mopping, raking, shoveling, etc. ) It's a KILLER on the muscles!

I hope you feel better soon,
I have Fibromyalgia, and nothing else!
I take Lyrica 225 mg/day and Tramadol (150mg time-released)

nice gentle yoga stretching always helps me. Have you tried epsom salts in your hot bath? Those might help, too.

Maz- does a combo of panadeine forte and xanax help, even if you take a little extra to help you sleep again? I would try this route. I notice in your med list that there are no muscle relaxants, such as ultram or flexeril; they aym make daily pains somewhat less. I'm sorry you are having such a bad day. Don't forget to eat and hydrate now; its easy to forget about food when pain is in control. Go for comfort foods, anything at all that feels ok and can assist with the meds doing their job. I'll be thinking about you. BTW- can I ask where in AU you are?
