hi everyone,

haven't had a chance to get on for awhile-i see you guys have been busy! :) hope everyone is doing ok and "hi" to all of the new folks:)

i just had to get on and complain for a minute..i have had the most awful week! it all started the saturday before christmas. we went up to my mom's for a family christmas and i always hate going up there because everyone smokes inside and it does terrible things to my sinuses-it's like being in a bar! i put up with it, though, since it's my only chance to spend the holiday with my mom and siblings. anyway..we spent that night at my sisters about 2 hours from here, and i slept on their futon which was terrible. i could feel the frame the whole night! tossing and turning, woke up horribly stiff and achy-ugh! we had to come home sunday because our kids had school that monday morning, so even though the roads were TERRIBLE, we kept on. it was truly awful-blowing and drifting snow, only one lane clear on 127, several nasty accidents in lansing. it took us 4 hours to make a 2 hour trip! so of course i got all stressed out, which of course made me feel even worse physically. thank god we made it home ok, but it was a terrible trip! then to make matters even worse, they ended up calling off school because of icy roads so it turned out we made that horrible trip for nothing! eyes

the rest of the week was spent getting everything ready for christmas. christmas day itself was pretty laid back. we had my hubby's parents and my dad over for presents and a big brunch, then everyone went home and we spent the rest of the day putting legos together lol. i was still pretty exhausted from everything, though, so friday i spent the day in bed watching house on the new t.v. my dad got us (hooray!! :)) saturday the kids went off to swim with my dad and hubby and i got all of the house cleaning caught up, but then saturday night around 3 a.m. my 6 year old woke up with an earache and was crying so bad and could not get back to sleep. i dozed with him on and off until about 5 am when i finally turned the t.v. on for him because he said that would make him feel better. he finally settled in and started to go back to sleep. then of course our power went out at 6 am and he woke right back up and started crying again. finally at around 8 am my hubby took him to the e.r. turns out he has an ear infection, poor little guy. they got home around 10 and we had to go to my in laws because we still had no power. it finally came back on around 3 pm yesterday, so we were able to come home. i was soooooo tired from no sleep the night before, but couldn't nap because my son was still feeling awful and wanted me to sit and watch spongebob with him all day. finally got a decent night's sleep last night, but woke up today with terrible goop in my head and a headache! ugh!

so this week has just kicked my butt and now i'm soooo achy and sore. i did my yoga stretches this morning and that helped a bit, but man i am so worn out i just want to sleep all day! i have laundry to do, though, so no nap for now.

anyway-sorry for rambling! it's just been one heck of a week and i'm totally pooped!

hope you are all doing ok!:) thanks for listening

Danielle,

I see that you are from Michigan. We have had some terrible weather this year. I too am sick with all the crud in my head and chest. I hope that things start going better for you and feel free to vent anytime.

Luv and hugs, Karen

Danielle,

Sounds like you had the week from hell! Instead of getting better it kept getting worse. So sorry things were so bad. I hope everything will start getting better for you. Get some good rest and take it easy for a while. Hopefully things will start getting back to normal.

Wishing you a pain-free week & a healthy week for your family!

Hugs!!    Margie

Danielle, I was hurting by the time you made the four hour trip home cause I know every muscle in your body had to be tense the whole trip. I sure hope things get better for you. When it rains it pours.

I hope by tomorrow night you can bring in the new year with no pain and no goop.

luv and hugs
