I have SEVERE aches and stabbing pains in the back of my albows!!! I almost CANNOT stretch my arms out, I just keep them bent... is it better if I do stretch them though?,or just leave 'em go?
Also, if I touch them, they feel bruised, even though they are not.
I said to my husband that the pain is "indescribable" was the word I used... but I know that all of you understand better...
Does anyone ever get pain in THE BACK OF their albows???

Hey Jenna,
WOW, I've never had that before. It sounds terrible!  I wonder if it has to do with your tricep muscle and the tendons, ligaments that attach it to your elbow?
I've had the opposite, where my elbows hurt like heck on the front where the bendy part is (I'm so scientific with my descriptions eh!) Turned out I had bicep tendonitis. But it didn't feel like a fibro thing. Gosh, that is weird eh?  I don't know what to tell you about stretching them. If it hurts, it's pretty hard to want to do that isn't it?
I wonder what others will have to say about your dilemma.  Keep us posted!

Yes, I have pain in my elbows most of the time. They hurt so bad that I cannot touch them. It comes and goes, but some days are worse than others. I have tried some stretching and used a heating pad. It seems to help a little.

Sorry you are having this pain. I'm sure others will be along with some other advice. Hope you get to feeling better!

Hugs!!     Margie

Try to find an indoor pool. There you can walk around gently and have more mobility in your arms. We seize up from lack of movement due to pain.

It has been found that water exercise is the best for people with fibro and cfids. Just give it a try, 15 minutes in a pool can change your life. It may feel hard at first but do it 3 times a week, and you will become stronger than you have been in years.

Yes, this helps to reduce pain.

I have been having a feeling similar to when you hit your "funny bone." I'm not sure if that area is swollen or just my new area of pain. It just feels like I've hit my funny bone and it became inflamed and stayed that way, but I didn't do anything to hurt it.

Hope you feel better soon.

Hey Jenna,
B/4 I was ever diagnosed I would not be able to rest my arms on a table, because the pressure on my elbows would hurt something fierce. Their better now, but when I see my Rheume for my check ups he always touches all the "tender points" and the elbow area being one....eeeek it always hurts.

I hope tomorrow brings some relief to your elbows.

Thank you, Merfy and Lori!!!
Merfy, I just deal with it as well, I honestly haven't found anything proven to help my elbows... I am planning on swimming at the Y though weekly!!! Maybe that can help!!!
And Lori, they feel okay today=] and my elbows are always one of my worst tender points too at the doctor!! Ugh!
Hope you guys are alright as well!!! Much love, xoxo.
