Hello Everyone,

Well I'm just having a heck of a day!!! I started to get a very mild sore throat this morning and tonight it's gotten so bad I cant drink or talk. I had strep throat last March (on my birthday) and it feels like the same. It starts to hurt really bad really fast, I remember last march when I had it I was crying like a baby and had my neighbor babying me. And to top it off my son suddenly started crying tonight that he felt like he was going to vomit so he's sick too. So the only healthy one around here is my 6 year old daughter who scolded me for "babying" her brother, eventhough I babied her when she had surgery 8 months ago and had to have a very very infected back tooth pulled out about 3 weeks ago that caused her to get very high fevers off and on for a month before we figured out it was the tooth. It's just so hard being a single mother and bring sick. I'm always in pain from the fibro or back pain and I just got over a really bad bronchitas that I had for a month (which I'm still coughing from a bit) and now this. Do you guys ever feel like your always sick with something?? It seems like everytime I turn around I'm sick with something new and I hate complaining cause I feel like people are going to start thinking I'm making all this sickness up for attention. Well atleast my father bought me some cold medicine and bought my kids dinner so I could rest. Do you guys have any remedies for sore throats?? I dont know forsure if it's strep, it could just be a plain old sore throat, which I hope it is. It just scares me cause I dont really have a "regular" doctor I can see for sore throats. And right now I'm so thirsty but it hurts too much, it's depressing me. Plus also does anyone know around what age they start doing braces on kids?? My son was crying the other day that they call him chipmunk at school and my dad agreed to pay for braces, but I remember getting mine when I was 12, is 8 years old (will be 9 next month) too young?? Thank you for listening. I just needed to rant cause I'm so miserable and I cant call any friends cause it hurts to talk.

The best remedy is good ole warm salt water and gargling with it. Its better than
any over the counter remedies. I would certainly see a dr if you can if the pain is that bad. Especially if you start running a fever. Try the salt water, the more you gargle the better relief you will get.
Feel better, hon
