Well, I woke up and had to roll out of bed to get my meds because I hurt so much. I can't take my time to loosen up because today is the only day that I go in to work. (I work from home the other days, because it is our slow time)

So far, I've hit my head on the vanity in the bathroom trying to get my jeans on. I can't bend or sit it hurts too much, so I kind of hold them in one hand and try to drop them to the floor so I can get a foot in. It's a long story and not very pretty, but I finally manage to get them on.

I only have one room in the house that I smoke in and I usually go in there to put my makeup on. I managed to get myself looking half way decent and then I just sat there a minute to relax. The next thing I know...I snore, waking myself up and I find I've burned another whole in a top!

So, I go and change my top, get my purse & work bag together. Go to put some shoes on and I still can't wear any. Between my feet being so swollen and my heels burning, I have to wear slippers again. So, I pick out a matching pair of slippers to go with my outfit and think I'm ready until I spill my glass of tea all down my front.

So, back to try and get dressed all over again! I'm lucky I have a little extra time in the mornings and that I make my own hours. Otherwise, I'd be fired by now.

I hope everyone else has a much better day than I am having!!

Hugs!!    Margie

O Margie! What a way to start you day! Mine isn't nearly as bad, but it didn't start very good. I wear contact lenses and have to put them on first thing because my vision is awful, so that is one of the first things I do and then I go downstairs and let out my 3 dogs, start the tea kettle and begin to prepare the dogs' meals...don't ask...it's not just dry kibble...I mix in all klinds of nutrients for them, pumpkin, natural yoghurt, GLC1000 which is glucosamine, apple cider vinegar, oh yes, and there is extra virgin coconut oil...anyway, I manage to remember all that, which isn't easy, and I realize I'm working with one contact lens in...have no idea where the other one is, so I go back upstairs and look around and look around...it is nowhere to be found, so I search a drawer to find an extra one, I wear gas permeable lenses, yes the old fashion kind, and find it, and as I am cleaning it, I see something, barely see something, and there is my lens that I apparently dropped earlier, just teetering on the bathroom sink faucet, so at least I found it, cleaned that off and put it back in, and then went back and fed the dogs...thank goodness, my office is in my house and I am not on a schedule, I scheduled my own hours. I began this about three years ago and can't imagine doing what I use to do, working in an office, just cannot do that any longer.
I wish you well and a better today!

Good Morning!
Or is it?
I had kinda of chuckle reading your posts because been there done that! I love your story about contact lenses. I did something similar before, only I had put both contacts in 1 eye! I have disposables so you really cannot even tell when they are in.
Margie, I feel for you! I probably would have called a do-over for the day. Go back to bed and then try again later. I know it would be hard for others that do hold a job, and need to be there on time or else.
Ya know it is because of mornings like these that most of us cant hold a traditional job. I wish the disability people could read these posts to see what we go through just to start our day.

Hugs to both of you and hope the day gets better!
Kathy

Hi Margie,

I am sorry that you had such a difficult morning. I hope that your day gets better. As well as everybody else. I know things can be frustrating, so try to slow down and take the day as it comes.

I will be thinking of you. I know how it goes with putting the jeans on, I have to do the same thing. Not a pretty picture.LOL...

Best wishes for a better day.

Hugs, Karen

Sue2z,

I also have the problem with my tea. I've spilled 3 drinks in the last couple of weeks. I still don't understand how I can fall asleep in the middle of picking up my glass to take a drink and actually taking a drink? The glass never makes it to my mouth! I fall asleep after I pick up the glass!

My day actually got better and I couldn't wait to get home. I put my pajamas on first thing!

Hugs!!   Margie

Margie, what a day.  I did have to chuckle at putting your pants on.  I have had to do the same thing.  I really understand coming home & putting on pajama's.  Oooh, nothing better.  As soon as I read you had put them on, I just relaxed all of a sudden.  It's the feeling I get when after going to the store I think, Now I can put my pj's on.  Yumm!  Hugs, Denise

Margie I wasn't on much yesterday so I didn't see this til this morning. Did you get the nice sheet of ice we got last night??? I'm really concerned about you falling asleep like that.

It's a good thing I don't have to go anywhere in the mornings. I don't even schedule appointments til at least 11 unless I have to.

luv and hugs

Hi Marlee,

We lucked out and only had snow. We are suppose to have a cold front moving in on Tuesday. Brrrrrr

I go to see my Rheumatologist on Wednesday. I've written out a list of problems, so hopefully will get this swelling taken of.

Hope you are feeling well and that you are staying in & warm.

Hugs!!   Margie
