Hi Gamjill

I am doing pretty good since the New year started, thanks so much for asking!!  My son is doing just great too, starting a new job tomorrow...so things are certainly looking up for him.

How have you been?  I hope very well and happy. :-)

Diane-

It's "good" to hear that things are going well with you and your son. :-) :-)

Christmas/the New Year did not start on a positive note on this end but everything is settling down now. Ended up getting 2 root canals, bronchitis and a sinus infection. Marlee said I had to have been a very "bad" girl this past year to get this for Christmas. But I know she didn't behave either because she got a broken rib. I will make sure I get on Santa's NICE list next year!!

Diane and all,
You are sweet to miss me. Busy beyond words! I produce a bridal show every January and it's this Sunday. 86 booths, vendors who are dumb as grass! I mean it, COWS COULD EAT THEM! Send out a very detailed letter explaining everything and still I get emails and phone calls asking questions about things that were IN THEIR LETTERS! HELLO! Makes me grind my teeth and makes my TMJ worse!

Before Christmas I got a back room in the basement painted to seal off the mildew growing on the walls for the last 30 years! That's bubbykin's room. Erin cries louder than Moriah Cary way up high on the scale! Makes the dogs hide their heads. Although she is only 14 months she is cutting her 2 yr molars and miserable. After all the tylenol, baby oragel and cold chewy things for babies we finally resorted to rubbing 12 yr old Scotch on her gums. THAT finally worked! She is a determined little dolly with curly hair and huge eyes. Strong willed and LOUD! Fast, too!

We are readjusting to having five adults and a baby in the house. We are careful of each other's space and trying hard to make this work. There is no alternative. We must make space for each other in our lives and keep going. My daughter is going to be helping out at the bridal show and with the wedding cakes this summer. Son in law is going around the house fixing everything that my husband hasn't had time to fix. He's shoveled about a ton of snow since arriving on Dec. 22nd and it's still snowing. Maryclare and I both have fibro so we work well as a team. We can pace ourselves and get things done at our own special speed.

We've had to stack things up in the laundry room and I've thrown away more 'stuff' in the past month than I ever have in my life! But it's so easy to do... and so liberating! People are more important than stuff. Discard the stuff, make room for the people. What a sensible plan. Wish it had happened in my life sooner! And anyone with fibro needs a toddler to keep them hopping. I'm sleeping better because I'm exhausted!

Miss yacking with you all. Sorry to be gone most of the time, but you are all so good to each other that my little input isn't missed much. KOKO!

Oh Jeannie...we do miss your input and wonderful sense of humor and reality...especially with those vendors!

I did vending for many years, different venue, and once you get the routine you just go with the flow. But honestly, some of the neighboring vendors were like talking to a box of rocks! You do wonder how or if they make it in the business. We did fine but the physical work did me in and we had to quit.

I understand about the toddler and getting your exercise. At least once a week we have Thomas, Amy's (dori18) baby. He's 2 1/2 now and oh my is he busy. His cleverness never ceases to amaze me! We are constantly having to put more things out of the way as he's a climber. Need something out of reach??? Just push a chair and voile'...you are there! He has even resorted to stacking chairs! BTW, for those who know dori18 (Amy) she and her new hubby just found out they are expecting! All of us are excited. She is a fibromite like the rest of us so motherhood is a challenge. But her love for kids overtakes the pain.

Oh dear...what was the topic? Oh ya...glad to see you back Jeannie. Hopefully after this weekend you will have a bit more time for you...and remember to take that time and go hide in hubby's room...in the closet!

lol...

Awwww Jeannie!!  Chutz is right, you are sooooooooo missed here, but it's nice that you were able to post and update us.  Phew...I got tired just reading your post!!!!  If things settle down in Feb, you and DD should write a book for fellow fibromites. You are setting a wonderful example on how you have Fibro ++ other afflictions..and yet you get so much accomplished.  With your wit and experiences, you could be the Irma Bombeck of the 2000's

I'm glad the scotch on the gums gave you and your granddaughter relief, I will have to tell April, (the mother of my soon to be 1 grandson)  I remember my mom telling us how she used to do that with us during teething.  She said it worked too!!

Chutz, congratulations on your new grandchild coming this year!!!!!  What a fantastic way to start a new year yeah    When is this little one due??  Congrats to Amy too of course!!

Is'nt it odd that both you and Jeannie have daughters with fibro?? shocked

Anyway...Jeannie, it's wonderful to know that you are well and happy and busy!!  LOL @ dumb as grass..have to remember that line tongue  And it's great that your daughter is regaining her strength!

Chutz, I have a 2 1/2 yr old grandson too...seems like he and your little guy are busy busy rambunctious little boys!!!  We are so lucky they are healthy, even though they can wear out a WWF wrestler tongue

Hope both of you are having a pain-free start to your morning!

Diane-

Thanks for putting in a good word with Santa. Sherrine has me on the naughty list for when she was gone on her trip and we partied at her house. So right now it's a tie.

Jeannie-

I will say it again, bless your heart for taking this all on. The little granddaughters wear me out in one afternoon or evening! Speaking of them- heading over there today because I have not seen them in awhile because I was sick and did not want to give them anything. So by tonight I will be exhausted. With all your hard work I know the bridal show will be a success.

GamJill

Yikes, my head is spinning after reading that Jeannie. Five adults, one little wrecking ball, the dogs and doing the bridal show.

Chutz, my middle son was my climber. I would put the kitchen chairs up side down on the table to keep him from dragging them over to climb on the counter.

I have no little ones right now but we all know that is going to change in April.

luv and hugs
