So it was late last night when I decided to send this e-mail to a friend.  I was tired and my eyes were blurry and I didn't pay a bit of attention to the spell checker.  This is what I discovered I sent this I started to wonder if I even sent it...she's a night owl and usually answers right away.
"Maggie...I think me sno,  his wive and granddaughter are visiting in febuary.  I have a pota-cirb and a high chiar but need a security gait so she won't faal down the stairs in the breezeway.  Could I bowwow the gate you use for Natalie?  Let me no...I'll by one if you are using yours."
Holy Crap!
Maggie teaches technical writing at Syracuse University.  I'm waiting for her answer and a verbal lashing.
Can I blame my blurry eyes or the fact that I didn't bother to spell check??  I simply cannot bring myself to blame the fibro or it will put an end to my writing career!

i know-you could chalk this up to drinking! seriously! when i was a foolish teenager, i went out drinking on a school night, came home 3 sheets to the wind, and wrote my father a note that was supposed to say "dad i am not feeling well and will not be going to school tomorrow", but actually said "daa. i's sick er somethink. no goin skool tumurrow". (yes, this is exactly what i wrote. my dad still has the note!) also, the writing on it starts at the bottom and then goes UP towards the top of the page! it looked like i wrote it with my toes! (and yes, i did get into a bit of trouble for this one and never did it again..)

so-there you go! just tell her you just hit the hard stuff last night and you promise to never partake in drunken emailing again! yeah

welcome and entertain them all!

he may be clearing you out for some new delight.

LOL... you can always tell her that you were sleep walking and typed that out to her. Since my sis, sleepwalks and sleep-eats, it could be possible. :)

I would stick with the "you were drinking" story!!

You were tired and it was late! I can't imagine what my post would like if I tried to spell and type in the late hours. We should all try it some night and see how it looks, it would be a hoot-

I make little sense during the day that's why you don't see me on here at night.
I would mention a bad reaction between alcohol and meds you were on.

Donna,  that was pretty bad. Think I'd stick to the drinking & meds. Does anyone spell that bad before spell checker? lol
Just kidding! If I didn't have a back button, mine would look like that most of the time!

GamJill...that is a great idea for those of us who would laugh and not be insulted.  I think we should have an after hours Coffee Klotch and all write a deleting or back spacing allowed.  Maybe I'll do a post on that tomorrow and see if anyone bites...think it would be a hoot! (I had to correct eight words in this tiny post!)

Oh yes, the backspace button. That is my favorite key, I use it all of the time.

Donna, I too think you should stick with the drinking story. Or you were sleeptyping. What is your excuse anyway. Blurry vision. I don't even think I believe that one.

Hugs, Karen
