I have a friend who is a rolfer and I went to her about 10 years ago to see if it would help with my posture, which is a contributing factor to my fibro. I lasted through three sessions, although the recommendation was ten. She took pictures of me (in my underwear) before each treatment so I could supposedly see the difference in my height etc, after each session. I personally could not take it as she dug deep into my muscles with her elbows, and she did this from the bottom of my feet to my neck. I made her give me the last picture she took...I looked like the Cryptkeeper! Now, this is just my personal experience and everyone reacts differently. Rolfing is NOT a gentle, relaxing therapy. However, if you can find a rolfer who will just work on your neck and shoulders and stretch that fascia and break up the lactic acid crystals, it might just help you. Others on this forum who have tried it may have had better results than I did.
