Hello my fellow Fibromites, it's me, Jenna!!! Just wanted to share a little giggle-worth story about my husband and I playing Scrabble last night...

SO for you to understand things a little better, there are technically TWO ways in the rules to play scrabble, most people play it where you pick 7 letters out of the bag, but you can also do 9 letters... Hubby and I are picky and played both ways and don't like either LOL so we made our own thing where we always pick 8 letters, ya know, it's a little easier than only 7 but also a teeny-tad little bit more challenging than 9... lol SO I picked the very first letters out of the bag before hubby did, so I had ALL THOSE LETTERS to get, but guess what EIGHT letters I happened to get? Not remembering the exact order they came out in obviously BUT to make sense of it I luckily got out eight letters that spelled one long word... an "f", an "a", a "t", an "i", a "g", a "u", an "e", and a "d". LOL so not thinking even about the "d" I got so excited, and thought it was totally APPROPRIATE that I had the word "fatigue".. the hubby laughed at me, annoyed at the points I was going to get already, and on his turn I'm guessing he had an "s" so he says to me "is there a such word as 'fatigues'?" I've never heard fatigue with an "s" at the end, but I guess it would make sense if someone says "she 'fatigues' easily" or whatever, but I said to him "I'm not sure", thinking 'FATIGUED is I know..', looked at my last letter, which I didn't even register in my mind before and I scream "OOH I HAVE A D!!!!!!!" And put it down on the board, hubby throws his arms up in the air in disbelief hahahaha AND to make matters even better I built the word from the star in the middle of course like you're supposed to and to the right.. with the word "fatigue" there, it was ONLY ONE SPOT AWAY from the TRIPLE WORD SCORE (big points scool ) ..so once I put down the "d" it hit the triple hahaha 36 freaking points for Jenna!!!!! WHOO!!

OK, so in the end of the game he won anyway shakehead but HOW FUNNY was my fibrofog moment of not registering that "d" in my head and how much funnier is it even that I GOT that word... how appropriate, huh? tongue tongue

How is everyone today?? :-) Hope you're all pain & FATIGUE-free wink

Much Love,
-Thirteen smilewinkgrin (JCgurl)

I'm fatigued today after getting lousy night sleep, but enjoyed your fibro-enriched scrabble story!

Jenna,

I love scrabble. My hubby & I take turns on who picks what game we play. He likes to play rummy because he usually wins. I always  pick scrabble and he hates it. He couldn't even spell in high school, so I always whip his butt! I'm waiting for the day that he beats me. It may be coming quicker than I think! lol

Hugs!!  Margie

I love playing scrabble and have it on my computer. My 21 yr old, junior in college grandson wanted to play over the holidays and I told him I wasn't going to humiliate myself by playing with him. Between my brain going blank when it comes to spelling anymore and the fog I might be able to beat my 6 yr old grandson.

I think it's funny that you would pick the letters for fatigue.

luv and hugs
