SleepyB,  yea I read the books too.Very good.A little tame for me,I read alot of Laurell Hamilton. But I thought it was a great read for teenagers....makes me want to go dig out my old Judy Blume novels.

That sounds good. I was a lover of Anne Rice Novels but I thought this series would be a little to light for me. I'll be waiting til it comes out on DVD, can't afford going to the movies as much as I love them. :-) I love the blockbuster online deal.

My fav of all time was Interview with a Vampire movie when it comes to vampires. Mmmm good.

What does Laurell Hamilton write? Crack me up with the Judy Blume remenicient. Funny! :-) Forever wasn't it? and I can't remember the one after that. I think I was like 14 or 15. Haa!

Have a great weekend,
Lori

Binki..Hamilton write very spicey vampire and werewolf stories.there is the the Anita Blake line and then she does one about faries. They call it supernatural romance, and I love the stuff.Judy Blume had bunches of books and yes Forever was one of them.I will never forget reading 'then again, maybe I won't' at 13,and my Mom and I were driving in the car,and I turned to her and asked what a nocturnal emission was...LOL!(Its a story about a teenage boy)I thought she was gonna die!She works in the medical field but this one got her.She sputtered her way through an explaination that I really didn't understand("Guys do What!?")When we got home,I promptly called my best friend Lance and asked him if he had this happen. That didn't go well either("Have I what!?")It wasn't till a couple a years later,I got the drift.... devil

Check out the True blood series on HBo, I t's really good... It's based on the Charlaine Harris novels but teh books are quite different, but both are great!

The Hamilton/Anita Blake books are great. I strongly suggest you read them in order otherwise you miss stuff. Each book is racier than the next and some readers got turned off by her more recent books calling them ****. The series about the fairies is really, really racy.

I just don't want anyone to take our recommendations and then get offended by what they read. I read anything I can get my hands on and never thought about possibly objectionable content until my kids became teenagers and started reading the books on my shelf.

I've read the first book in the Twilight series and it is much lighter than Anne Rice. It's still very entertaining as long as you keep reminding yourself that the main character, Bella, is a teenage girl. The author really writes teenage girls well; mistakes and poor choices included.

The Sci-Fi channel is replaying the "Moonlight" vampire series on Friday nights.

yes to all those!I have read every Anne Rice novel, and I also read everything I can get my hands on,I've been a voracious reader since I was a child.I can read a 400 pg. book in a day.The only thing with the Twilight books is yes ,Bella is a teenager, but Edward 'died' in 1918,which makes him 90. A little strange....

Dagger-yes, Ilike the fariey ones to, but I find I smoke alot more when reading them...lol!Gonna havve to look for the Moonlight show.

Denial-I saw the first episode of true blood, but we don't get HBO.I didn't know there were books, gonna have to look for those.
