Prune juice. It's not just an old wives tale. I drank one glass of it after a serious bout of constipation and let me tell you...IT WORKED!
Food should be properly chewed. Hurried meals and meals at odd times should be avoided. Sugar and sugary foods should be strictly avoided. Foods which constipate are all products made of white flour, rice, bread, pulses, cakes, pastries, biscuits, cheese, fleshy foods, preserves, white sugar, and hard-boiled eggs.

I had the same problem. I now take 2 fiber supplements each day to keep me regular. My constipation is caused by some of the medication I am on. I never miss a day because I don't want to go thru that again.
Also, the first few weeks that I started the fiber supplement, I had to take 4 each day until I got on track. Good luck!
