I want a new brain! One that lets me know the meatballs are burning in the frying pan when I'm sitting two feet away reading the newspaper. Heard the sizzle, realized I'd left them 'browning' and took the lid off. Instantly filled the top third of the kitchen and living room with smoke... (sigh!) Propped the doors open to let the smoke out... Neighbor came out of her house all alarmed...

Drive to store to get Valentine's goodies for grandkids, park in handicap spot, forget to put up my little sign... No ticket but lots of dirty looks when I get back in car... Wanna show them the little sign I forgot to put up so they don't hate me for swiping that spot from someone who needs it. Oh, well. They just think I'm a clod.

Been leaving the water running in the sink a lot lately. Leaving lights on and cupboards open, too. Can't seem to focus so good...

Please send any and all brains for transplant as soon as possible. Brains from higher life forms like squirrels and parrots gladly accepted. My human one sure ain't workin'!!!

Jeannie, "overcarmelization" of dinner is a great term!  Can I use it next time I set off the smoke alarm while cooking dinner??   Kind of makes it sound like you did it on purpose.  Say you learned it on the cooking channel!

Oh, yeah. I'm using that, too! (if that's ok...) My family makes fun of me a lot for how much I've set off the smoke alarm. In fact, at one point my hubby found a cartoon in the paper where this guy was sitting at the dining room table and behind him you could see the wife poking her head out of the kitchen door and there's smoke pouring out everywhere and she says "Dinner will be served once the smoke clears". lol-hubby put that up on our fridge, no less! (smart-aleck!)

But see now I can just say I'm not burning anything, I'm "overcarmelizing" it..haha

I wish I had a brain to spare for you, Jeannie, but I'm afraid I'm barely getting by on the measely one I have..We have tons of squirrels around here, though, so maybe I can capture one and send it on to you??

Yah, it's the food channel I've been watching. We have budget cable and for some reason it accidentally lets in the food channel and the history channel. The regular channels are just so much garbage anyway so I usually leave it on the food network. Somewhere when I wasn't looking it became politically incorrect to "brown" food, (maybe because brown is the new black in fashion???) Everybody is letting foods "caramelize". So that's what I was doing! Just took it a bit too far.

We had a reprieve here in Michigan and got a few days of 55ยบ weather that melted the mountains of snow. It was pure heaven. We even cooked on the grill. And today, I woke up to 4 fresh inches of the white stuff. AAAAAAaaaaaarrrrgggghhh! I'm sick of winter! Getting cabin fever with all the peeps in our house. The honeymoon phase is over and we're getting on each other's nerves. Bubby finally cut those molars and is now working on eye teeth and stomach teeth. Poor kid.

Awe Jeannie,

I feel for the little one cutting the teeth. I hope that they hurry and come in.

Don't feel bad about the cooking. That is typical for me during fogs and flares. You will be just fine, you probably have a lot on your mind right now.

Take care sweetie,

Luv and hugs, Karen

Jeannie,

Maybe I need to start watching the food network because I don't even feel like cooking anymore. My husband cooks more than I do. about the closest I do to cooking anymore is getting me a bowl of cereal. (I accidently poured tea over my cereal one day!)

It sure has been a bad winter for me. I'm hoping Spring will get here soon and I'll be like a new woman or maybe at least act half way like one.

You don't want any part of my brain either. I would have been sitting right next to you, reading the paper while the kitchen burned around me! I'm forgetting too many things lately. Repeating myself alot also and that is beginning to aggravate my hubby.

Hugs!!  Margie

Oh Jeannie I just posted on another thread about the day I had yesterday believe me I only have a few cells left myself.

My 12 yr old grandson got me hooked on the cake and sugar competitions on the Food Net this past summer. I had no idea there were so many mediums out there used in cake decorating and oh the sugar competitions are amazing. I was wondering if you did any of these??? I hope they don't find the problem and you can keep the Food Net.

You will have to rub some of Sherrine's rum on the baby's gums.

Hang in there spring will be here before we know it.

luv and hugs
