I found a song that is just so perfect. It really brings me up when I am feeling really lousy. It is "Stand" by Rascal Flatts. I don't know all the lyrics off the top of my head, but I am going to type what I remember. Hope you enjoy.

You feel like a candle in a hurricane.
Just like a picture with a broken frame.
Alone and helpless, like you've lost your fight.
But you'll be all right. You'll be all right.

Cause when push comes to shove
you taste what you're made of.
You might bend til you break
cause it's all you can take.
On your knees you look up
decide you've had enough.
You get mad, you get strong,
wipe your hands, shake it off.
Then you stand.

Life's like a novel with the end ripped out.
The edge of a canyon with only one way down.
Take what you're given before it's gone.
Start holding on, keep holding on.

repeat chorus.

Every time you get up and get back in the race
one more small piece of you starts to fall into place.
repeat chorus

That's all I can remember. Hope you all enjoyed it. I thank Rascal Flatts for that song because it really helps me in hard times.

May your heart be filled with love and joy.
May your mind be clear and true.
May your smiles be many,
And may your tears be few.
May God wrap you in His arms
Especially when you're feeling blue.

I for one, appreciate you sharing this song with us, TikiIsMyKitty. For a forum that's been doing alot of talking about staying positive, it's a good reminder.

And, I like Rascal Flatts, too!

THANK YOU!

Julie,
I am glad that you enjoyed this and that it helped you. I have found this song really helpful in hard times, especially when I am feeling really depressed because of my fibro. I hope others on here find it helpful as well. It is just such an inspirational song, and it reminds me that no matter how much pain I am in, I still have strength to make it through. All I have to do it do what I can and rest when I need to. Instead of wallowing in self-pity (which I do tend to do), this song reminds me that I need to stop doing that and stand up and keep going instead of giving up.

Sherrine, I'm with you. I also hum "If I only had a brain" at least once a day, sometimes dozens of times a day. I used to have post-its that I'd put on my papers after I had to fix mistakes.

So Sherrine, you forget your head frequently, too?

My friend and I sing the portion of the song by Michelle Shocked, "When I grow up I wanna be an old woman."
