Does anyone else have problems in their thighs? I have trouble getting up. Its actually a struggle if I'm sitting in a lower than regular "seat" level position...ex I had trouble getting up this morning when I was on the bottom step of the stairs tying my shoes. It feels like I have done several rounds of the thigh machine, only I have not.

I just wanted to make sure its Fibro related and not something else...thanks

I have problems like that.  If I sit on the floor I need a crane to get back up!  smhair    Because of muscle pain I'm not as active as I used to be.  Because of that you lose muscle tone.  I do walk and take care of my house but I'm not using my thigh muscles that much for those chores and exercises.

Thanks Sherrine, I just wanted to be sure. Sometimes I question if its Fibro I have and not something else.

Hi Monica,

Yes, yes it can be fibro. As I have mentioned my legs, thighs also, are my greatest source of pain. I have wondered if it is b/c of all the years of tennis, that would be my target spot!!!! I can get pain in the deep muscle in the back of my thighs and just squeal with pain. It is almost a spasm!!!

Hope this helps you.

Patsie

I just posted on another thread about leg pain - question of the day or what?!

I have increasing pain in my thighs - and do also have a hard time getting up from a sitting position. Mine is mostly in the front, though, and feels more related to my knees.
Still learning how to manage my Fibromylagia, and all the lovely gifts it brings.
I had severe spinal stenosis, had fusion done on C5-7, and my life has changed.

I have a lot of thigh pain also. But I also have bad knees and wonder if I over compensate for that which causes my thighs to ache.

Try stretching your thigh muscles. I bet that will help to losen them up.  My pain is mostly in the quadrocepts.  I forgot to mention that, I still consider it part of the thigh.

Hugs, Karen

My things get work outs from water aerobics and daily swimming. They still hurt and it is still hard for me to get up. It is the fibro.

I think this is it in a nutshell with over compensating. I'm finding some comfort in knowing that it is part of fibro and not something else!! :-)
