It's one of those timeless questions.  I'm not sure how old those cans of Spam are ....
Did we do monthly goals at the end of Jan?  Anyways, one of the things I wanted to do was clean up the pantry.  Tomorrow is garbage day so I sorted thru stuff and threw out the things that were just too old.  The worst was some Hamburger Helper that "best if used by Nov. o3  shocked   Next week I can probably finish the pantry if I remember on Mon.
I did warn B. NOT to open the garbage can skull   we might not get the lid back on.
Looking at the stuff we didn't use - we are eating a little better.  For our weight loss topic - I'd sure like to maintain what I lost over the previous year but my activity level is just so low shakehead
Anyone else work on a goal for Feb.?

It truly is getting to that time of the year. Spring cleaning. Especially since it is March now. Boy did February go by fast. I am glad though, I am waiting for this three feet of snow (or more) to go away. Now that February is over, I want to clean my workshop. Just kind of waiting for some of the snow to leave.

It is suppose to warm up at the end of this week, we will see how much snow goes away.

Hugs, Karen

The snow is leaving here inch by inch & I am even starting to see patches of grass.  I love Spring!!  I can't say it enough.

The goal I had for Feb was to get my house abit more decluttered.  Darn!!!  Is Feb. gone?  I'll have to move that one to March.  I have stuff just sitting on tables & in other areas to be sorted or moved or taken to a Thrift store & here they still sit.  So, I am going to get this done before March is over.  Thanks for the reminder Rich, I really had forgotten about it.

Hugs, Denise

Oh Rich when I seen the title I thought you were talking about spam on the computer eyes
All my plans for cleaning out everything didn't go as planned this winter. I did start pitching stuff out of the pantry the other night. Hubby cleaned out the frig yesterday. We should clean out the freezer the day before trash day I know there is out dated stuff in there.
Right now we are working on the obvious dirt in the house before we have a house full of company when the baby comes. There is enough of that to keep us busy for quite awhile.
Some day it will all get cleaned hopefully.

Hi Rich- I know Spam can last a long time, but not sure how long??? I would google their website and maybe they have something on there. Good ole Spam, it has been around forever! I get a laugh over it. I have never tried it and it would be interesting to see how many people eat it or don't. The factory for Spam is right here in southern Minnesota- would love to tour it someday for kicks! My sister and her husband went on a road trip last fall and on their way back they stopped into the factory.

I have been ripping everything apart in this house since last Saturday - feels good to finally get moving on getting some "order" around this house. I have had no energy and more pain over the winter but I have reached my bottom with the chaos and decided to just get going!!

Rich, I think the question here isn't how long does it take for Spam to go bad, but rather why on earth did you have any Spam in your cupboards in the first place???!? tongue

I've got big plans for my spring break next week-spring cleaning! I've already warned hubby that there is a "to do" list in progress. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to find him mysteriously disappearing all next week lol.

That's my plan. Not sure how much I'll get done, but even a little is better than nothing!

Just making it the another month of work is my goal. I pat myself on the back every week I make without taking a day off or leaving early, etc.

I am with you on the Mac and cheese. Any of those things actually. By the way SPAM is made in Hawaii. It was created in the war years there for an easy to keep food. It has been found and can last for years. Sorry walking encyclopedia here. Not as bad with the Fibro fog, something my friends are happy about! lol

Some canned goods have use by dates and some have secret codes. You can find websites that let you figure out the dates on the coded products.

A while back, canned goods never had dates and we never worried about it. Now, they put dates on the cans so we throw them away when we find them hiding in the back of our cupboards.

I hate "best if used by" dates. I just want to know how long I can keep the stuff before it will kill us if we eat it.

Does anyone know how long you can keep opened ketchup and mustard in your fridge? How about mayo?
