I should be working on a poster presentation for an upcoming conference, but I cannot focus.  I just received another rejection letter for phd programs and am tired and disheartened.  My brain is going a million miles and in a million different directions.  Maybe a day of non productiveness is ok once in awhile?  Gotta go to a meeting now.

Oh (((Sue)))

I'm so sorry.  I wish there was a perfect thing to say right now, but alas there's not.  Just know that I really feel for you right now.  Don't give up and try to do something special for yourself.  I'm so proud of you for just trying!!

Take care and warm gentle hugs,

Patti

Hi Sue,

I too am really sorry about the rejection. But you still have some others left don't you? I hope that you get good news soon.

Try not to let it get you down. You are a smart and wonderful person and don't deserve to feel that way. And try not to let it interfere with your things that you are trying to do.

Like you say though, we deserve a day to just relax and not do anything. Often that does us good. Just to not think of anything at all and just chill.

I hope that you feel better. Remember that we are all here for you.

Hugs, Karen

Sue I'm sorry about the rejection, good luck on the other one. I think our brains get overwhelmed when we have too much going on. I have been the same way lately, so much going on and so much to think about but not being productive on anything. I have not been good at multi tasking for several years now, I have to take one thing at a time and when that is over go on to something else but life doesn't always allow us to do that. I started a list yesterday of things I need to do cause if it isn't written down right in front of me who knows when I will think of it again with all the stuff going on in my mind. I feel like there is a traffic jam going on up there.

Good luck.

luv and hugs

((Sue)) Sorry to hear about the rejection letter. Don't you have a couple more responses your waiting on? I pray they will come back with an acceptance for you.

Having a day of "non productiveness" as you say is just what we need sometimes. Gotta regroup a little sometimes...zone out...take a few to get our mind and bodies in line. :-) (Boy, I need to take my own advice,LOL!)

Take it easy,
HUGS,

Sue, I am so sorry about the letter. My son has received his first rejection for grad school. He wants to get into some really tough creative writing programs. I am hoping for both of you that the next letter is an acceptance. Diane

I just got a notice from the last program that they will let me know by next Thursday.  I am already thinking of what I will do next year to better my chances.  Maybe I need a year off because after june when I get my master's degree, I will have been in college for 6 years straight.  The program I really want didn't open up because of budget issues.  Everything happens for a reason, so either way, it is good.

Diane, I hope you son gets in too.  I think i know how he feels.

Spent some time outdoors today because it is so nice.  Took care of chickens and ducks.  George hasn't recovered completely from being shot out of the cannon at the party!  smilewinkgrin    hee hee.  They are a cheerful bunch.  The ducks just got clean water in their kiddie pool and are splashing around like crazy.  makes me remember the important things besides burying myself in grad school.

Best,

Sue

Hey .. That's the spirit, Sue!!!!  Good girl, I'm glad you're seeing a silver lining in it all.

LOL, yeah, my parrot, Cheech hasn't quite gotten over his launch from the cannon either.  Hmmm, maybe we should start a support site for battered birds.  idea (psst, but just between you and me, I wouldn't give the link to any of these wild women nono .. heheheh)

Just wanted to give you and extra (((HUG))) for being so positive about what you're dealing with.

Take care and enjoy your weather.. some colder stuff is on its way here.. Dog gone it!!
