Hi LeeAnn,

I have 2 and married a great guy with 3 kids. (age range 24 - 16) I live in So. Calif.(Los Angeles) and grew up here as well. I don't do much of anything but work (full time) and hang out with my dh. I love to watch movies when I can. I don't have much time in my day for hobbies anymore. I spend a lot of my free time getting any chores done and taking it easy. I'm still learning my limitaitons with FM. I like spring and summer the best, mostly because its daylight longer. I have had Fibro for at least 4 yrs now, but my docs think I've had for at least 10 by the description of other probs from yrs past.

Take it Easy,
HUGS,
Lori :-)

I live in Tampa Bay and am a retired elementary school teacher...fourth grade.  I love being outdoors, gardening, swimming, going to the beach, play musical instruments, and work on genealogy.  I do keep myself occupied, usually.

I am a widow.  I have three magnificent children ages 31, 32, and 35 years old.

I too live in the Tampa Bay area. I am semi-retired, helping my husband with our business when needed. We have built a "green" retirement home in the White Mountains of New Hampshire and dearly love it. We are right on a beautiful lake. My husband encourages me to spend my summers there and I vote for that!!! This year will just be our second season.

Reason for doing the opposite of the world and leaving Florida "full-time" when we can, our CHILDREN!! My one and only son lives right in Boston and husbands daughter is right out of Boston.

My passions are my pup, Maestro, gardening, tennis (trying to keep it up), reading, canoeing, and cooking. I love life and try to stay as positive as I can.

I'm trying to train Maestro to be a visiting dog at the nursing homes and man o' man have a long road ahead hehehe!!

Best, Patsie

OK.. here goes..

I'm 51 years old and live in N/E Indiana.  I moved here 10 years ago, today!!  (Wow just realized that!)  I'm orginally from NJ, I lived all over central NJ.  I met my husband online .. I like to tell people I bought him on eBay.  Anyway, he's from IN and I moved out here to be with him.  We've been married for almost 9 years.  He's a wonderfully supportive man.  When we met I was recovering from my last bout with Lyme Disease and he helped nurse me back to health.. so he's watched and helped with my health issues since the day we met.  Between us we have 4 kids, his two daughters and one son and my one and only son. His kids all live right here in the same town as us and my son is still in NJ (whom I miss terribly).  We have 4 grandkids.  We love our 2 dogs, Chloe and Zeke and we have 2 birds, Cheech (parrot) and Simon (canary).  In Nov. 08 I left my job as the Exec. Director of a non-profit org. due to my health issues.. now I'm looking for a part time office job.  My hobbies are bird watching and photography.  I love the outdoors and every season, except winter.  I've lived a very full life and wouldn't change a thing... well, maybe the fibro, but then I wouldn't have met all of you wonderful people.. so there's a reason for everything.

Thanks for posting this thread LeeAnn, it helps us get to know eachother a little better.

I live in a small town in East Central Indiana (pop. 2,000). I'm 67. This coming June, we will celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. We have 3 children, 2 girl's & a boy, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.
Although both officially retired, my husband works a couple mornings a week at our local grocery & I sub at our Jr.Sr. High School cafeteria. I worked there full time for 30 years.
We enjoy taking weekend trips to Southern Indiana, especially in the Fall when the leaves are turning. We also like spending time with our friends & family. I like to read, play Euchre & spend time on the computer in Pogo.com. I also love to bake. ~Sande~

Patti!! I met my husband online, too! And to make it even stranger, we've also known each other for just about 9 years! (We were friends for about a year, became "involved" in 2001, and officially married in 2004) How weird is that?!? Can I borrow your "I bought him on E-bay" line?? Hahahaha-that just cracked me up!

Anyway..'bout me.

I am 36 years old. Married. (obviously^..) Mom of 3 to my almost 16 (eek!) year old daughter, and 6 and 4 year old sons. I currently do not work outside of the home, but am in school full time working towards my Accounting degree. We live in an itty bitty little town in southeast Michigan, just a hop skip and a jump from the Ohio and Indiana borders. (Quite near our dear Pattipanda, in fact!) I grew up in Northern Michigan, though, (near Traverse City) and miss it so, so much. Sadly, though, there are NO jobs up there except for summer service industry kind of jobs (not enough to support a family of 5!) We also have two dogs, Baer (Lab/Husky mix) and Benji (Jack Russell Terrier) and a mix-n-match kitty cat named Helena. Basically my house is loud, busy, and messy most of the time!

Umm...lesse. My hobbies are reading, drawing, Yoga, and listening to music. I also love to sing and have participated in our local community Christmas choir, but haven't been able to do so the past couple of years due to pain issues. I'm also a big fan of funny tv shows and movies. Also love swimming and dancing, though I don't dance so much anymore.

Oh-other exciting new for me. My sister (whom I consider to be one of my very best friends) and her hubby are about to have their first baby and they just recently found out that it's a girl!!!! I am SO EXCITED! lol. I already have adorable 5 year old twin nephews and a 3 year old niece, but between the twins and my two boys, there is a definite gender imbalance in that generation of the family, lol. So we are all so excited that there's another girl coming! Also, I am not particularly close to my brother (the father of my niece) and so I don't see her much, but my sister and I see each other quite regularly, so hooray! A little girl for me to spoil rotten and buy lots of pretty dresses for! (My daughter stopped letting me put her in dresses over 10 years ago, lol)

Anyway...that's a bit more about me. Great idea for a thread, Leemadd!
love and hugs

Hey Danielle,

You and I definatly have to hook up someday!! It's weird how much we have in common!!!  Except, you can do all the math problems, I officially retired from doing math!!!

Oh and of course you can steal my "bought him on Ebay line".. I'll just do a quick copyright on it, you know me, I love those quotable quotes, but you're more than welcome to use it.  LOL smilewinkgrin

Hugs,

Patti
