Heres a weird thing that has been happening to me lately. Normally, I dont ever dream much at all. But, the past few nights I have had several strange dreams each night. Its always something relating to whatever is going on. Its weird. And I will remember them.

Maybe because I am completely off my Lyrica now?

The thing is, when I wake up, I feel like I havent rested. BUT, at the same time I am dreaming so much. At that stage, I should be getting rest.... How come I can dream so much yet feel like I never made it that far in my sleep process?! And why am I having weird dreams?

They dont seem dreamlike....They are more like my thoughts and feelings being acted out in my head. Most dreams are like totally unrelated or off the wall, but mine have been about things that are very similar to what I think about during the day. Its REALLY hard to explain it! Its just plain WEIRD!

Anyone else experienced this??!

When I dream it is generally about something in my life or a connection to something that happened to me recently.  They are still weird because they aren't that logical.  I don't dream very often but when I do they are usually doozies!  LOL

I have very odd dreams as well. They are usually off the wall things and yet they somehow relate to what is going on in my life. It is really weird. I don't know why you aren't feeling rested. The thing is is that there is another stage of sleep after the dream stage. I don't remember what it is called. Maybe you are stuck in the dream stage and aren't getting into the next stage of sleep. That would explain why you don't feel rested. It's a thought in any case. I hope you start getting better sleep.

Tennis, I dream a lot, too. I always have, and they are usually weird. But the stage 4, deep sleep, delta sleep (3 names for the same thing) comes after you dream. If you are getting very much delta sleep consider yourself lucky. Most fibromites don't get much, some, like me, don't get any. And it is a very important stage. It is what helps you feel rested in the morning (what's that anyway), it helps your body heal itself, it regulates a lot of hormone and neurotransmitters. And probably more! To the best of my knowledge there is no treatment to increase delta sleep. Hope you are doing well off your Lyrica. Unless it quits working, I doubt I'll every stop taking it. Diane

I take Lyrica as well, and I really like it. It works for me, and it doesn't have any bad side-effects. I doubt I will ever quit taking it.
