Hi everyone, well, I am writing this because I am abit freaked out.  I went running yesterday(won't do that again) and I am in sooooooo much pain that I can barely walk.  It seems to be radiating from my spine to my hips.  Well, lastnight when I went to sleep, i woke up with my whole body in spasm. Like a sezuire almost, it shook the bed, and it kept happening thru the night.  Never had that happen to me.  I've had the twitches and spasms in my legs or eye like the other thread was talking about, but not my whole body at the same time. Tonight I hurt and I can't take any more pain meds if I do it will just make me sick. So needless to say I am having a few tears.  I just seem to feel good and think I am normal and do normal things. nono   No need to go on just frustrated and a wondering.... confused Thx Denise

Hi Denise,
So sorry your are feeling bad and in pain. I sure know what you mean. I do the same thing. I have a good day and I overdo everything and then pay for it. You'd think by now I could figure it out. I guess we just want to be like we use to be. Hope you feel better soon,
gentle hugs,
Miriam

Baloo,

You scared me for a minute! smhair I thought you were gonna say that you bought Britney Spears' new album, LOL. smilewinkgrin Just kidding. Anyway, I totally feel your pain. Even though I stretch every morning, if I do anything-even push myself a little over my limit, I pay for it the next day. At least you have pain meds. rolleyes But, I really do hope you feel beter. If you won't get sick, maybe you should take some anti-inflammatories (ibuprofen). That way the inflammation will go down and maybe the pain will go away. Just some unwarranted advice form a complete stranger. wink Also, I don't know what meds you are on, but I do know that some of them can actually cause some muscle twitches. Or, this could be a bigger issue. My advice? (I know you are thinking, MORE advice? rolleyes LOL). Seriously, my advice would be to talk to your doctor or rheumy. Good Luck! yeah

Neurontin, Ibuprofen for pain-which doesn't help
Zoloft & methadone (NOT for pain) for sanity-which doesn't help, BTW
Klonopin for anxiety (Guess what?  Doesn't help!)

I think I know exactly how you feel. I swim daily and whenever I try a different stoke or do something stupid in water aerobics, my body feels like it is on fire.

I used to handle it by taking pain meds before exercising but, my doctor refuses to prescribe those anymore so now I exercise less. This alone makes the fibro worse for me and slows up my weight gain.

DOctors are accustomed to meeting patients who have given up due to their under treated pain. They are not accustomed to helping the runner, swimmer, etc. In addition, they are no longer considering helping those who work get through tier days more comfortably.

You might consider taking something like Ibuprophen to reduce muscle soreness. Maybe you should start running inthe pool I have done that. It usues the same muscles as running on land.

try pool 3x land 1x.

Good luck.

smilewinkgrin  Kelly that made me laugh, I totally forgot about her song.  Haaa I am still smiling.  Thankyou.  I appreciate the comments. I take hydrochodone, one a day.  Thats all I can take without feeling sick.  They made me stop taking Ib's because of sezuires in my stomach.  It was so helpful to take that with my vicodon.  I am on the other spectrum. Whenever I go in they just ask if I need more pain meds. especially now that I can't take ibprophens.  I am thankful, because I can't function as well without my one a day, but I really could use the ib's.  I think I am going to call the doctor because my body is trembling and its like I swallowed a vibrator. Okay,, I guess I left myself open on that one, but its the truth.  yeah
