Hi everyone,
I think I have come up with a description or analogy of how fibromyalgia feels when we are in pain.  about 20 years ago I had an auto accident and afterward I was in extreme pain and felt bruised and sore for several days.  That is the best way to describe the pain now.  When it gets bad, it feels that.
My feet are bothering me again.  I attended a conference in Burlingame on Thursday and took the rapid transit to SFO and took the shuttle to the hotel, then walked around and stood at the table with the poster we were presenting, then did the whole thing back home.  More walking on Friday and Sunday and my feet and back are rebellling.  Hubby looked into a scooter for me in Las Vegas and Disneyland and I would rather use a wheelchair.  Anybody tried either or both and have a preference?

Hey Sue,

I am sorry that you are hurting so much. I guess that you over did it a little. Keep moving around, gently. You will feel better soon. Try some gentle stretching too.

Best wishes for a wonderful day.

Hugs, Karen

My Mom prefers the scooter, she says she has more mobility. The chairs at disney are push only...No electric chairs. Mom could have never done Disney
with out a chair she only did 2 parks and that was enough for her she did one a day. that was it she was exhausted..

Hey Lady,
So sorry your having pain again. But it sounds like you pushed yourself even though you were feeling good. I get that way too. I try hard not to over due stuff when I'm feeling good because I know I can put myself into painland, especially my hip.

I've tried the motorized carts at target when shopping, glad I did at the time. Vegas can be a lot of walking if you haven't been there b/4 and want to see lots of sites. A scooter or a wheelchair would be great idea, though!

Have a relaxing evening,

That's exactly how it feels!! I say I feel like I've been in a train wreck, when people ask me what it feels like. I have extreme pain in my feet as well. I work as a CNA, so I am constantly on my feet, it is agony most days, and the Ultram only takes the edge off of the pain. I know what you mean, I'll be thinking about you. Jules
