My doc filled out the app for the handicap placard and I sent it off in the mail. :-)
I have been feeling almost no pain in my right hip (which gives me the most trouble) these last few days.  But I haven't been doing to much activity other than going to work.  I took wednesday off this week and slept most of the morning.  I didn't do to much shopping this last weekend either, so not much walking around.  Who knows rolleyes .... I know that FM symptoms can come and go.  I have to remember other times this has happened in other parts of my body.  Like my feet, hands, ribs, they always come back to pester.
Anyone else relate?  Having your most troublesome spot ease up so tremendously. confused

Hi Lori,

For the past few months I have had the fibro ease up on me. I don't know why, and I am afraid to question it. I am even afraid to really mention it in case I might jinx myself. But I have been doing a lot better and the pain is tolerable. So I am pretty happy about that.

I often feel like I am new to fibro. I guess that is becasue there is so much that I haven't learned about it. Scientific stuff I guess that I don't comprehend well enough to understand. But there is so much I don't know about it and I have been diagnosed for seven years or so. When they come up with some concrete evidence or a cure, then I will worry about it.

I give a lot of the credit to me feeling better to the malic acid/magnesium combo. Ever since I started taking it I have been feeling better. I forget sometimes that that could be the very reason for my feeling better. So that is something I think people really should consider trying.

I hope that you are having a great, painfree day.

Binki.  My doctor filled mine out too, but it is only approved til September 12.  I was feeling guilty for asking for a placard because at the time, my feet had not hurt for about a week.  But it came back for a few days and I am just starting to feel better again.  The pain clinic teaches that it is possible to lower the pain levels, but not eliminate them altogether.  They also teach that there are two reasons for a flare: either you did something really stupid or you didn't do something stupid.  In other words, sometimes you can't predict.  I am hoping either I am better by September or they will let me renew.

Hope your new relief lasts a long while.

Hey Sue, that's funny on how you put doing something stupid. LOL! I wish the pain clinics would of sent me or had a class like your having, for me to learn more from. The two I went to and the phys. ther. office did not offer squat.

As for the placard, mine too is only for 6 months. But I can't see why we can't apply again.

I started with a temp plate and then when I went in I ask if they would renew it they made it a permanant. So just go back in and ask them to renew it see what happens. I didn't ask for permanant one they just made it that way.
