I am sorry you are having this horrible pain today. Please, take care of yourself & just have a quiet day today. Try some moist heat like a Bed Buddy if you have one. If you don't just put some rice in a sock & tie the top, put it in the microwave & lay it carefully on the sorest part. I hope this helps. Gentle hugs, Denise

I have pain in my left shoulder..I can't rotate it and if I move it wrong it is very painful.  The muscle around the joint is so sore and tender.  I don't know if it's fibro or why it's only in my left shoulder.  But yes...i have shoulder pain!

I have shoulder pain in both shoulders. Some days it is so bad that I have trouble turning the steering wheel in my car.  I can never figure out why it is worse some days more than others, although I know the weather is a big factor in how I'm feeling.  I try a heating pad and gentle yoga stretches.  I've also used those pads that are supposed to help arthritis.  They just stick to your skin.  It helps a little. I've tried ice packs but I just do not like cold on my skin.  I think we all just have to experiment to see what works.  I hope you find some relief.

This is why I work out in water. I learned the shoulder exercises from one of the life guards at the pool. You can also purchase the CD for the Arthritis foundation web site for land exercises. the music is dull so just play your own.

My shoulders used to freeze and that would effect my hands. In addition, it was painful to even sleep on my sides.

Get out the heating pads, maybe a TENS machine and the dreaded ice packs. It takes a while for this to clam down but, you must do upper body stretches to keep it under control.

I feel for you, you need your shoulders to perform day to day activities.

Take care,

Hey there,

I've had unbarable shoulder pain. After years of agony, I went to the doc. got an MRI turned out I had frozen shoulder, a nerve inpingment, torn rotater cuff and on and on.  I had surgery about 3 years ago and now that's the only "good" joint I have in my body.  I was a hairdresser for 25 yrs. so I had done alot of damage to it from work related injury.

I hope it feels better, I know how annoying shoulder pain can be.  I agree w/ Denise, warm moist heat!!  Get some rest and take an anti-inflamatory.

Take care,

Hi Maz,

I have most of my pain in my shoulders and neck. So my shoulders always hurt. I know how you feel. That is one thing that is easily said here, because we do know how you feel.

I would reccomend the warm moist heat. That is about the only thing that helps me other than pain medications. I hope that you are feeling better soon.
