Hi, I'm newly diagnosed, but certainly not new to FM. I've had all the symptoms since the mid 90's, but was always told it was in my head.

Does anyone know of good fibro docs in NE Indiana or lower MI?  Right now I'm seeing my family doctor.  I had a rheumy confirm diagnosis not too long ago.

Thanks!
DMarie

Hi DMarie & Welcome!!

I live in that same area.  I used Dr. Christopher Bretz.  He's a GP and he also does accupunture.  I really like him.  I've referred lots of patients to him for many different medical problems. 665-9100. I believe he's still taking new patients.  He really understands chronic pain.  He's in the same offices as Angola Physical Therapy.

I'm glad you found the Healing Well Fibromyalgia Forum.  This is one of the best sites I've found.  Lots of really understanding and supportive people here.  Be sure to check out the second thread of the Forum call Fibro 101 .. there's lots of really good information on there that I've used to help me cope with the dreaded syndrome.

Good luck and let me know how things work out.  Keep posting, I'm sure you'll find this to be a welcoming site.

Take care,

Patti

Thanks Patti!! I have been lurking on this site for about a week or so.....reading everything!!

I don't live far from there, so I will be looking to see if he's on my insurance. I don't want to give my current doc a vote of no confidence because he's a really good doctor. I'm his first newly diagnosed FM patient. All his others are inherited from other doctors. The only thing that concerns me is that I am sooooo tired (big surprise huh?) and am overly stressed with work (I telecommute 100% and my company is off-shoring jobs left and right. I know my time is limited) and I don't feel he's taking me seriously. I honestly would like a few weeks of medical leave to just try to get it together or figure out something new. I am taking my vacation for the year in 2 weeks......just trying to hang on til then!

Thanks again!!
DMarie
