My 32 yr old soon to be DIL got the official dx yesterday for fibro. She is in that state of being happy that it's not MS or lupus and that she finally has a name for everything she has been feeling for so long but not happy that she has something that is not curable. I hope she will join our little family here soon. The rheumy she went to really seems to be on top of things with fibro so I may be changing to her. She even tested her for vit D along with a lot of other blood work. I had to ask for vit D check.

luv and hugs

Sorry to hear the news Marlee. At least she has you to relate with and you will have each other for that special support you both need.

I look forward to "meeting" her here, if she so chooses to join us.

Hugs to you both,
Lori

I"m sorry to hear this, Marlee.  But, I'm really glad that she has a good doctor.  Fibro isn't curable...yet but they are working on it, finally.

I hope she decides to come and join in on the forum.  She will learn a lot that can help her and I think she would like it here.  Hope to see her.

Sorry to hear that. I just saw a rheumy myself and she agrees with my DR. about the Fibro. Has anyone taken Gabapentin 600 mg? This Rheumy I saw was good to, she even looked at my nails and asked if I had worn acrylic nails? I told her back at Christmas time, but I got them taken off in Jan. due to one of my real nails being broken.

Hi Marlee,

As always, I'm sorry we have another new fibromite.. but glad she's gotten things started. Sounds like she's going through the first stages of reality. I hope she joins out fibro family. Give her a gentle hug for me and let her know we're all looking forward to meeting her.

Take care,
Patti

You can tell her that a bunch of us are new on here too, new to the forum and also newly diagnosed. We are all learning collectively and together.

Well Marlee, I declare. This thing is just affecting everyone lately. At least she has you as a guide. I haven't had anyone for that kind of support.

How is Tater Tot doing???

Patsie, Shayne aka Tator Tot is doing great. We went to see him Fri, I had to have a baby fix. I'm glad the weather is getting nice cause I'm going to be spending a lot of time going to see him.

DIL is lucky to have this side of the family that already understands fibro cause of me and I do wish I would have known someone with it when I was dxd. This is all new to her family and it will take them awhile to get it.

We had the family here yesterday and as soon as she walked in I could tell she was hurting. She puts her happy face on for everyone else but she knows she doesn't have to pretend with me.

luv and hugs

Oh Marlee, I am so sorry about your DIL. How fortunate that her soon to be husband understands her illness so well. I am happy she has you to support & help her through. My daughter & I support each other & it certainly helps to have someone who says "Oh, yes I understand completely". Let her know we would be so happy (in a sad way) to add her to our FMily here.

I am very happy your newest addition is doing well. Babies are so sweet & actually can help the pain. How can anyone feel bad while cuddling & cooing to a baby.

Hugs, Denise
