I decided to try one of the suggestions on this forum to find some relief from my most recent flare. I went ahead and ordered the Malic Acid / Magnesium combo pill.
I received my UPS Package on Wednesday and took One pill Wednesday night (825 mg). The next morning (Thursday) I took one and one at lunch.
I am going to be taking one in the AM, one after Lunch, and one at bedtime to give me 2475 mg.
I decided to keep this journal in case it does help me, so that it can help others.

Today, Friday, is technically day two, but not quite the 48 hours within which many have noticed progress, and I have to say that I did not wake up with my usual level of pain and stiffness......
I did develope a cold during this time, so I can not speak to mental clarity at this point, but overall I feel better.

I will try and check in daily for a while and let you know if it has helped my FM.

PS. Thank you Sherrine. I know that you have been the champion of the M&M pill. :)

JoKat, I really hope this works for you.  Be sure to take is slowly at first.  You don't want to get diarrhea from the magnesium.  Your body needs to adjust to it.  If you see you don't have a problem with one tablet then start the second one, etc.

I'll be waiting to hear from  you!

Sherrine,
I had been taking a Magnesium supplement for a little while, but was unable to find Malic Acid locally. I am on three times a day currently and fortunately no extra potty breaks..... :)

Hey, that's great!  Are you taking calcium with it?  From what I understand, they work together so a calcium tablet wouldn't hurt and would be good for your bones.  Men can get osteoporosis, too!

Sherrine the calcium is such an important point. Also it goes in the same direction as Vit D. AS one goes up so goes the other. You need good D to ensure calcium absorption. I started the mg/malic w/out real good attention to the CA. Now I have the ratio better and see a big improvement. Sherrine, as you wrote me no cramps so far. Cannot tell you the relief of this Lady.

I'm so glad to hear this, Patsie!  Yes, most calciums do have D but make sure you get one that does have the D included...D3.
