Hi Everyone,
I'm on Gabepentin and it seems to be helping the fibro pain.  I have a dental appliance I use for moderate sleep apnea.  But I am still exhausted all the time.  I give up all my energy to work- get home and pass out.  I am getting that 100 pound limb feeling in my arms and legs.
I am not sure what to do or what steps to take.
Have a feeling some of this is a result of stress from the economy at home.

What do others do for exhaustion?  Do sleeping pills work?
shakehead  Feeling a bit of dispair.
Glad you are all here.

i have been trouble sleep for the past couple of year... i finally got to go to a sleep doctor... who after 1 visit i have noticed a huge difference...

we agreed i would have no more naps .. as that tells my body that i have had 8 or 9 hours even though i may have had a 20 minute nap
so instead of feeling that urge to go to sleep at say 10:30 it pushes it till 3 or 4 in the morning..

i can no longer go to bed before 10:30pm and have to be up everyday at 6:30 am working or not... which i dreaded.. but as i started doing it found myself not minding so much

there are days that i have had a nap or slept in .. but trying not to.. so that i can feel better

maybe seeing a sleep doctor would help you too

Hi there, I take 3 flexeril at night along with 900mg gabapentin. I think the combination of muscle relaxer plus gabapentin works really well for me. You should ask your doctor if you can have something to relax your muscles as well as promote sleep.

You can also ask your doctor about having a pill for actually staying up and alert during the day especially if you have tried everything else. I also take Gabapentin 600mg it's just not working tonight for one reason or another.

Sleep is elusive. I never fall asleep easily. I do take amyltriptilene, 50mgs. at bedtime. It takes about two to three hours to "kick ïn". Also, by accident really, I discovered Robaxacet, here it's OTC, helps enormously. I awake to a rested body feeling. However, the mind is another thing, it races uncontrollably. Very uncomfortable.

I stay away from caffeine, which does more harm than good and instead have been using Vit B complex. I like the liquid because it works faster and is easier for the body to process. I take at least 2 droppers a day, sometimes more if I am real busy and it seems to help my energy, stamina and my nerves.

I lose track of how many times I'm up in the middle of the night!  I use malic acid/magnesium supplements and take extra vitamin D.  These have given me more energy.  I also walk and that has given me energy, too.

Snue, I have no advice, just sympathy, because I feel the same. Just completely exhausted all the time. Hopefully something in this thread will help us.

idea  Okay I am definately going to start the whole Malic Acid/ Magnesium thing you guys got going on, it sounds like it can only help me.  I take 3 flexeril at night and go straight to sleep and do not wake up in the night.  I used to wake 4 or 5 times a night, now I sleep right through.
