Hi Lulu.  Welcome.  I am very new myself to this site, but have found a world of loving, caring, people just like you and me that do know how we feel.  This site will lift your spirits and help you learn coping strategies to get through tough times, or just let you cry your heart out and heal little by little.
I hope to hear more from you, and encourage you to come often.
Gentle hugs.  Jules smurf

Welcome to our family!  You have come to the right place for support and answers.  I credit this family for how I'm feeling today.  I still hurt and have fatigue but my overall take on things is more positive.  I know there is someone to listen when I'm having a bad day and someone to give me advice when I don't know what to do.  We are all in this together so stick with us and I'm sure things will start feeling a little better for you also.

Hi Lulu, it is nice to meet you & I hope you can find some relief here & answers to your questions.  I remember when I was first dx'd in 2004 & how scared & confused I was.  Yes, all your feelings are normal for what you are dealing with.  This illness will affect you in many different ways & right now you are scared & unsure.  Please come to this forum & ask questions, all you need to ask, read all you can on the subject of Fibro.  Check out the Fibro 101 thread, the second one down, there is an immense amount of info there.  Also, while you are in that thread read the "spoon theory".  It will help alot with pacing & understanding the need to pace yourself.  We all take different meds & are using different types of therapy.  If the Physical Therapy is helping then by all means keep going, if you are using all your energy at therapy & have none left for other things or if it puts you into a flare then talk it over with your Doctor, therapy may not be for you.  We have all had to travel the road of finding what works for each of us.  For me, I use Ibuprofen 600 every 5 or 6 hours & Tylenol for pain, I use alot of supplements like B complex, B12, & Vit D3.  I use Melatonin for sleep along with a muscle relaxer.  Many have found great relief with Malic Acid & Magnesium.

I hope you find your answers & like I said never feel shy about asking questions, we have all been there & have all had to deal with learning about this DD.  The emotional part is as important to address as the physical.  You will mourn your old life but be aware you will have a new life & it can be very enjoyable, just different.

Welcome to the forum & many soft hugs, Denise
