I'm on prednisone for my Lupus too. Here's the scoop on prednisone and Fibro.... Fibro isn't an inflammatory disorder, so when we add prednisone to our body it actually makes Fibro worse. It's a horrible balancing act to find the lowest dose of pred possible in order to control our Lupus, and at the same time keep our Fibro from flaring up.
What is your prednisone dose and how long have you been on it?
I'm on 7mg of pred, and I feel like I need to taper down 1/2 to 1mg, right now. I'm a jittery, sore, stiff, Fibro mess!
My guess is that your Fibro is screaming at you right now. My Fibro is chronic, every day pain too. My neck and jaw area are the worst affected places for me too. Try and get in to see your rheumy. They can help you best.
Have a better Sunday Crystal,
