I'm back from my mother-in-law's funeral in St. Louis.  It was the first time I had ever flown without my husband with me.  Thankfully the airplane ride was pretty smooth and I took my Xanax.  The service was beautiful and the whole family was there, children, spouses, grandchildren and great grandchildren-such a tribute for a wonderful lady.  I rode back to Ca. with my husband and a son.  Three days in the car-not so good, but all things considered I'm doing fine.  Thanks to all of you for your thoughts and prayers.

I know you are glad you went and it sounds like you did quite well.  I'm glad you are back home now.

Hi Puppylover,

It does sound like you did good. I am sure that it wasn't the easiest thing for you to do. I am glad that you had your xanax to take. I take it too. And it really helps in anxiety situations.

Take care and know that we are here for you.

Hugs, Karen

We're all so proud of your courage. I know I would be very uneasy and darn reluctant to go alone. Never have flown alone and not sure I could. But you are a strong woman. It's amazing what we can do when we need to. It sounds like your MIL was truly a wonderful woman. Please pass along our caring and condolences to your hubby and son. After all...he lost his grandmother.

Take some time to rest up your body...ok?
