Hi all,
I think my GP is frustrated with me. Everything we have tried has not worked (Cymbalta, Amitriptyline, Lyrica) and I'm still in pain. I don't want to take any narcotics and he doesn't want to prescribe them. I've been referred to a pain specialist who I am seeing tomorrow. Right now all I'm taking is Cymbalta for depression and Ambien. Can anyone tell me what to expect from the first visit? His clinic does work with fibro patients (Horray!!)

Note to IronCladDaisy - my pain doctor is an orthopedic doc who is only specializing in pain management. Of course I haven't seen him yet, so don't know how its going to work out. But that gives you another option when looking for a new doc.

Thanks all!
Dana

I haven't been to a pain clinic, so I can't tell you what to expect, but I did want to stop in and thank you for giving me another idea to work with.

At this point I feel like I'm still exploring the options are out there, figuring out what works for me and what doesn't, so I like collecting ideas! idea

Hope your appointment tomorrow goes well, you'll definitely have to update us when you get back!

Sorry hun, I haven't gotten that far yet so I don't know what to expect either. Maybe you can tell us when you get done?
