Hi Starynight!

Beautiful name! Makes me think of a summer night with a warm breeze. welcome to the family. It's wonderful people like you joining our forum that makes it work so well for everyone. No one can understand us like someone who lives the pain day to day. And not many people who will listen to us when we need to rant like another fibromite.

I would suggest reading all you can about this disorder but do be cautious of those promising a cure. If someone wants your money, other than what your insurance will pay, run like the wind into the night...or Starynight I should say. Everyone here is on a different regime yet they have a common reduce pain to a livable level and hopefully to prevent flare-ups from occurring. We also work at having as normal a life as possible and yes, it's possible to have a wonderful life even with fibro. I often think of someone who's in a wheelchair or who is quadriplegic and how they must feel about their life. Most of them do wonderfully at adapting so....why shouldn't I?

Stick with us and we can hold each other up.....that's why we are here. And please join our Koffee Klatch we have each day. The topics change every day and we talk about fun things or sometimes insightful things...but NO talk of pain. It's our time to concentrate on other things and hopefully to block out the pain.

Glad you are here!

Welcome, Starynight.... Wonderful name......
I'm relatively new myself, and I adore this forum. I felt so alone before, even with a loving family. There are so many good people on here that genuinely care about each other. It really does help! A lot!
Look forward to posting 'with you' often.

Hi Starynight and welcome. I agree, what a beautiful name. Can't wait til it gets warm enough to go out and enjoy those starynights. I think many of us went through the puzzling testing phase before we got a dx, although my doc says I have a weird body that is hard to figure out anyway.
Read the fibro 101 thread, second on first page, it contains lots of great info. Read, ask questions and vent when you need to and we are here for you .
luv and hugs
