I listen to Dr. Isadore Rosenfeld on Sunday mornings.  Today he said that if you have lost  your job since January 1, 2009 and you take one of Pfizer's 70 medications and have been taking it for at least three months but now can't afford it, speak to your doctor.  Pfizer is willing to give the medications free for up to one year, according to Dr. Rosenfeld.  Lyrica is one of their medications.  I thought I'd pass this along.  Here is a link all about it.

There are a couple more companies, like Walgreens and some automobile manufacturers,  mentioned that will help out that are mentioned in the article.  I hope this helps some of you.

Pfizer has done this for a long time. I guess the recession gives them more publicity. It is an excellent idea.

Other drug companies give free meds to people who cannot afford them also.

Donnaeil, the article said that Pfizer just announced this last Thursday so it doesn't look like they've been doing this for a long time.  This is something new they are doing.   I think it's wonderful of them and wanted to let our forum members know so it could help them out a bit.  Many have been saying, for months, that they or their spouses lost their jobs and it's sooo difficult for them.
