I know this is not the wisest decisions I have ever made but I am quiting Cymbalta cold turkey. The side effects have taken over my life and I just can't function so well. The joint pain has gotten to the point of not being able to walk, or sleep, if I stand for any length of time it is so painful to take a step. The constipation has gotten severe, I am have constant brain fogginess. The abdominal pain sucks. I am really scared after reading all the withdrawal symptoms but I just can't live this way. Today is day one of without, I plan to continue to post until I am on the other side.

Hi...I would very strongly suggest that you wean yourself off slowly.  I have been weaning off lexapro for two months after thinking I could just stop taking it.  The side effects were horrendous, mainly the brain zaps.  I am down to about 4 MG a day now and still have some disturbing withdrawal symptoms.  At the very least, discuss this decision with your doctor...he may be able to give you something to take the edge off the withdrawal..in my case, valium (very low dose) has helped.
