back in 1999 i had a small stroke so they told me, i was put on so many drugs during my stay at the hospital there are days i don't remember, what i do remember severe migraines, handing shaking, slurred speech or stuttering, forgetfullness. i had a spinal tap, emg's, and cat scans, i was on so many drugs i can't remember what the nerologist dx me with.
now 2009 i have some signs again severe diplatating migranes, pins and needle feelings
in my arms hands and legs, muscle spams neck, back feet and hands, massive weight loss from 154 to 109 today.
I am now awaiting a vitamin d & b-12 blood test results, will this tell me anything?
I am only 39, 40 in oct. with a 15 month old baby, what are things i can do now to help me, and what is to come?

I'm not sure what the vitamin tests will mean. I have both fibro and MS and sometimes it's hard for me to place my symptoms into catagories. The pain I can sort of tell the difference, but as for the rest I can't be sure anymore. Fibro and MS act so much alike that line gets blurred easily.

I can give you some ideas as to what can help now. I have three boys ages 4 to 11. I rest as much as possible. Do what I can when I can do it. Some days I fight thru just to make it to bed time. I have found that a cold wash cloth on the back of my neck and a dark room help the migranes. The pins and needles thing I can't help with cuz nothing I have tried works. The muscle spasms, I soak in a hot bathtub. Mineral Ice also helps the pain in my neck and shoulders. The forgetfulness has force me to carry a high school day planner. I call it my life. It has every major event, appointment or errand that I have to complete on any given day. I also start my week out by making a list of events that I want to do that week. Then I have to pick and choose the ones that I am going to partake in and let the rest go. That's the hardest part for me. Letting go.

These are just my ideas on coping. It doesn't fix anything, it's just how I get thru the day. I can't tell you your future. I only know what my future holds for me.

I suggest that you have some more tests run. Find a dx and find the best course of treatment for your symptoms.
