Hey everyone! My name is Sarah and I'm 20 years old. I have fibromyalgia, trigeminal neuralgia, chronic fatigue, migraines, anxiety, and most recently diagnosed with asthma as well. Life isn't easy for me, but then again, it isn't for any of us, is it? I just came across this forum today and am excited to meet all of you and be able to talk to people who can actually relate! I'm not sure what else to really write here, but I will try to be nice and active! Hope everyone is having a "good day!"

Hi Sarah, i also just came across this forum today. Had all the rest of the illnesses plus panic attacks, Gerd, cervical muscle spasms and the fibro and peripheral neuropathy in both feet for quite some time now. I am hoping for the same as you,...that we can talk with other ppl with these illnesses and meet some new friends that actually want to talk with us. Lots of people out in the world just don't understand the pain, etc that we feel. Glad to see you here.

It's nice to meet you too Chickabee! And exactly, I really hope to talk to people who actually understand and don't just think it's all in my head! I think I hear one more person say it is then I'll scream! But anyways, hope to get to know you and talk and such! :)

Hi Sarah and Chickabee.  I just popped online for a moment and saw your posts, and I want to welcome you both to the forum.  This is a very caring place with great moderators and members.  You'll find lots of great info, listening ears (or would that be "reading eyes", lol), and shoulders to cry on.  :-)

Hi Sarah and Chickabee and welcome to the family. I'm glad you both found us. I call the people on this forum my Fingertip family. There is a lot of knowledge on this forum about fibro, some have had it all their lives and others for 20 some years. Read the fibro 101 thread, second on first page, there is a lot of great info in it. We like to have fun sometimes too cause God knows with what we go through everyday we need a good laugh and we have the morning koffe klatch with Chutzie every morning. Read, ask questions and vent when you need to and we will be here for you.

luv and hugs

Hi, Sarah and Chickabee, and welcome!  I'm so glad you found us and joined in.  You have come to a good place.  We have wonderful members that love to help one another and, as a bonus, we really do care about each other, too!  I know you will like it here.

I see Marlee directed you to the Fibro 101 thread...the second thread on the forum.  There are links to good information about fibromyalgia including a list of symptoms and some good stretching exercises that really do help!  You will learn a lot there.

Also, read back posts and ask questions.  We are here to help you.  I'm so glad you both are here and I hope to hear more from you soon.

Hi Sarah and Chickabee! I am (I think still) a newbie here and also to fibro, as I got my diagnosis this past March. I am so happy to have found this forum, which is a warm and welcoming place. I have a sister who's had fibro for about 15 years but only diagnosed for seven of them. In talking with her, we think our Mom had it as well. Since I started lurking on this forum last fall when I started to flare, I learned sooooo much, and was able to track my symptoms in a diary to report them during my first rheumatologist visit. I was starting to seriously question my sanity when I was diagnosed. I think our human tendency is to pretend we are all right, because we don't want to be seen as weak or lazy people; in reality, feeling sick is understandable because this fibro thing is real, and not in our heads.

Right now MY head is full of "fibro fog," so I better stop writing. Welcome!

I agree completely with what you're saying Littleneck, we all want to pretend we're ok, and we all just want to be. But also, at least it is NOT all in our heads, and we have a real condition. To me, personally, that was a bit of a relief all in itself.

Thanks for the welcome!

Welcome Sarah and Chickabee,

I see that you have been welcomed by many members and I just wanted to add my welcome to the list.

I have had fobro for over 28 years now, and the last 10 have really kicked my butt, so to speak. But this forum helps me get through. This and the chronic pain forum as well. Know that there are a bunch of great people in both forums.

God bless and keep you in His care. Keep posting and let us get to know both of you, OK??

Gentle Hugs for a lpd.
