Tomorrow, my mom is watching my son for a few hours so that we can shampoo our carpets. We have to REALLY clean the house because someone from Community Partners is coming over next Tuesday. Everything has to be really clean. Which means that I am going to be really busy for the next two days or so. I could really use some comforting and encouraging words and thoughts. This is going to be hard, and it is going to take its toll on me, I know. So, if you could just please send me some encouragment, I would really appreciate it.

You can do it, Sassy, and though it will cause you pain in for a bit, you'll be better off. I know I feel proud and a sense of accomplishment after I've done something big, like shampooing carpets. And it's usually the best time to get a massage from the significant other, and have an excuse to soak extra long in the tub. Good luck at your meeting too, though I'm not sure what Community Partners is, just be your sweet lovable self and you'll do fine.

*hugs*

you will love your clean carpets afterwards. Just remember to go slow and take magnisium and D-Ribose.

Good luck

beautymom5,
hi, what is D-Ribose? Does it help with the pain and fatigue of fibro?

Community Partners for Child Safety is a program that helps needy families. They will help work with you and other places on getting bills taken care of, and they help you with things that your kid or kids might need. I don't know if you have ever heard of Healthy Families, but it is kind of like that. They also make sure that your place is clean and that your child or children can't get hurt on anything. It seems like a nice program from what I have heard. They come out once a week, and their first meeting with us is this coming Tuesday.
I appreciate all of your encouragement. It is a big job that we have. But, I know that my hubby will insist on doing the big parts. So, that will be helpful. We will both get the job done. I am looking forward to having our carpets clean. With a toddler, they tend to get pretty dirty with spilt drinks and food and stuff. Those of you with children understand this I'm sure.
Anyways. Thanks again. I'll let you know how it goes.

Just think how great everything will look -- and smell if it was my house, with dogs, cats, kids, and fibro! You can do this, Sassy, and I'm so proud of you for digging in and doing it! I need to do it, too, and haven't had the nerve to get started -- you make me feel like I can at least do the living room.......Thanks!
Good thoughts are headed your way just to give you a little boost!
(((hugs)))

I love it when my house is clean. But it just doesn't like to stay that way. I've got my son who throws stuff all over the place, a husband who doesn't like to do dishes any more than I do, and I sometimes get lazy and just don't put some stuff away. Plus, I get laundry piling up because I really don't have a way to get it done a lot of the time. But, my sis says I can come over if I need to and do laundry there, so that will be helpful.
I like the feeling I get from getting something done. It just makes me feel better emotionally. I may feel like crap physically afterwards, but I like feeling like I have gotten something done, like I'm not completely useless, ya know? Anyways. Thanks so much for all your encouragement. I know I can always count on you all for that.

I have been helping my hubby shampoo the carpets, and it is really hard work. I feel so horrible now. The pain is terrible, and I feel like I could sleep for a week. Our A/C is really crappy, so we are down at my father-in-law's house where it is cooler. There is still so much to be done before Tuesday. I feel kind of depressed about it because there is so much to be done, and some of it has to be done a certain way, and my hubby isn't the best at fine-combing when it comes to cleaning. I don't know what I am going to do.

Try not to worry about all the cleaning all at once. Just concentrate on the thing you are working on and everything will get done in time. You will feel really good about yourself when this is complete. You will be sore - but that will pass.
