Had an appointment with my Rhuemy today, its funny I thought it was going to be my last visit with her (I've always said I thought my Rhuemy was uninterested in me and didn't really show a desire to work with me) to my surprise, things actually went good with her today. She took one look at me and said she is taking me off Lyrica because I'm way too swollen, then I was telling her about my problems with taking pain meds at night and how it keeps me awake (percocet) so she said she felt it was time to look into long lasting pain meds. She wants me to try Opana to see if taking that in a small does everyday will help me. She is weening me off the Lyrica slowly..which I didn't know I had to do , I thought I could just stop taking it...Anyway to make a long story shorter she just seems much more intersted in me and helping me versus sorta blowing me off. I'm also going to see about water therapy at the PT center.

Okay, another thing is I'm trying to figure out if I should come out of work again on STD ( did it around the same time last year) for a period of time 6 weeks or so to hopefully rest and get my body healed to some degree. I'm only on FMLA right now and while that works so if I need to take off here and there I have to use my vacation time and it is windled almost down to none. If I take the STD I wil still get paid my regular pay. This month I've used 3 days so far and its averaging about that many per month but at this rate I will be out of vacation time before I get new time. Usually I'm extemly beat and in some degree of pain, sometimes worse than that, and then you have those days where even though its not major stuff, you can still move around pretty good. I don't know what to do, any advice?

Thanks Danib, yeah I'm glad I checked, I sure didn't need to end up with another ER trip/copay for sudden withdrawl of the Lyrica so I am glad she is ramping me off of it.
